Well as the old saying goes, when you need him the most, he returns with another cool moc;).

Backstory.

This moc is based and inspired by 1994 Porsche 911 turbo.

1280x699.jpg

And to little bit enchance this experience. Let me tell you the story behind this.

the owner of the 911 turbo was on last legs, so he desided to gift the 911, wich was rotting away in barn to his son. The son went in the barn day after. And the 911 did look a little bit sad, so the son started modifying it heavily, because he had always wanted a custom super car. And this was his golden opportunity to make this to reality. And he spended couple years in the barn, to modify the sad 911. and while the task seemed endless. The day finally camed, and the new heavily modified 911 was ready to see light of day, after sitting in the barn for 20 years abandoned. And the son wanted to give a cool name to his modified 911. But he was bad at creating cool names, until one night he got idea for the name. And he named it as a, The Sunnyside Beachshark GTR.

Specs.

Boxer 6 engine. Same with the original 911 turbo, only slightly tuned for more horsepower.

Gearbox same as on the original car.

Interior same with the og car only little bit more sportier steering wheel.

Lenght of the og 911 was chanced. And, The Sunnyside Beachshark GTR is longer than the og car.

Legofied specs.

Boxer 6 engine.

3+R gearbox.

pls enjoy the model and have happy easter:).

(Ps the reason why the instructions are delayed. Is because when i started creating the instructions, and i was attaching soft axle and bending it in studio v2. Something happened and after that i was not able connect anything on the 3d model. So i scraped that and created new page. And now axles wont connect, so i have some weird issUe and bug with my studio v2. So i have to delay the instructions. Im so sorry, and yes i did reinstall the studio v2, and that did not fix it. So im now really baffled and puzzled, what is going on. :/.)

And there is a little easter egg. Because the og 911 had red brake calibers, this has also a red brake calibers. And brake disks:)

Looks like you had a lot of fun with that!

Getting a 3+R in a model that size looks a bit tricky!

Yes i did have a lot of fun:)

Here is Sunnyside Beachshark GTR next to cada mclaren p1 and jesko:)

Progress for the instructions. And yes, i have made them really simple. Because i have move to gen 2 instructions, and i do listen to feedback. And the 1st gen was so difficult, that the most educated professional wasn't able to build that;). So the gen 2 will be simplistic. And i have limited the parts of the steps 8 piece max:)

And since everyone probably are thinking. Is this car transporter gang combatible. Nope i have to say that sadly. But i will design a special trailer for this. So you can carry this in car transporter:)

Well after looking trailer designs, i founded that the fmx trailer would be great trailer base, and i was right. The fmx works great. I just need to make a lot of modifications.

(Ps. i wasn't planning to make trailer. But since i know, customers are always right. And i if would not have made the trailer, i would get a ton of negative comments, that the Sunnyside Beachshark GTR would not fit in the car transporter. And they cant carry this model in the car transporter. So i made the wise desicion to build the trailer, to complete the model. Because now they can carry this model around with the car transporter:).)

Well, trailer is done. That tooked 4-5 hours of building straight, and i have decided, that the connection wich the Sunnyside Beachshark GTR uses for the trailer lock, is called type 2 connection to not confuse with the car transporter set locks. So if i make more car transporter gang cars, they will be type 2 compatible only. Luckily at least the jesko supports type 2 locks:).

Looks like you can replace them for frictionless gray ones on the doors

I'd do this. No exposed colorful pins (I assumed the black one on the right represents the door handle)

The highlighted piece is obviously 32054.

Edit: I just realized the long connector on the left is free to rotate, even though with quite some friction. I'm not sure what's connected to it in your model so hopefully doesn't matter.

After some time of building and tinkering. I got this solution, and thanks to the rubber piece. The door handle moves. That blue pin will be replaced by black one:)

Progress for the instructions. I now checked the page design. And its looking really good, this has so far 450 pieces. And this has more building steps than the jesko, because my gen 1 instructions were bad, and i lissened the feedback. So the gen 2  instructions are simplified a lot, so they wont need a engineering level of education, to build:)

Well, finally the 3d model is done.

And, here is total piece count, this has 1264pcs, more than the jesko. And it shows, the jesko feels really fragile and flimsy. While the Sunnyside Beachshark GTR feels like a brick when you hold it. It is pretty hefty model. The jesko feels like a feather compared to my model:).

Well, finally the instructions are done. I will now make the trailer 3d model, and instructions, and then i will upload this to rebrickable. So hopefully this is done by next week. And final part count is 1293pcs:).

Oh cool, in summer lego will release Porsche 911 gt3 RS, well now you can display the Sunnyside Beachshark GTR with speed champions Porsche 911. (Yes age doesn't match, Sunnyside Beachshark GTR is based on 1994 Porsche 911 turbo, while the Porsche 911 gt3 RS is modern version.) :).
