[Bug] Some User Icons are not shown anymore (via Special Tags)

Dear Mods,

every morning, my wife (she gets up early, I go to sleep late - but do prepare breakfast for the early bird before calling it a day) gets the newspaper into the house. I have no clue, how these folks delivering the newspaper can survive ... it must be 3/4 am when they begin their "tour" ...

Nevertheless - the one thing I learned from my parents was, that newspapers are ... important. They are telling the truth ... 

Not relevant. Much more relevant is that "my" old fart tag = the newspaper tile is gone. THAT IS TERRIBLE. I love newspapers. As in paper. What can I do ... so my question is: Does that mean, EB is going full electronic? No more paper? Oh crap ...

@Toastie My fault! I will have a look tomorrow.

Background: In preparation of doing some maintenance for the site I changed some configuration in the background - seems your icon is affected by that.

I will report back tomorrow, until then: Sorry for the inconveniences!

For others reading / also having the issue: please leave me a message in here of what is missing, may be helpful to troubleshoot the case. Thanks in advance!

Edit: from the URL (https://www.eurobricks.com/forum/uploads/gallery/album_241/gallery_8966_241_2675.png) it is definitely part of the things I changed the configuration for. Should not have been the case, so "meh"

Is there a list with the names of all the tags and what they are awarded for? In the staff structure, user groups and tags thread only some are mentioned. Especially the small Black Knights shield, the Imperial Soldiers flag and the Classic Space logo look very cool.

As I am a junior grade admin by time, I may be wrong here, but currently I am not aware of a complete overview.

 

But may be an additional topic to have that available and constantly maintained.

Nahw, shouldn't have happened in the 1st place and is affecting not only you - so my inner motivation is burning.

 

I may just create a quickfix for putting the icons back in the expected place, but may be in the long run I need to do another adjustment for creating a cleaner state.

So next update of mine will follow this evening.

There is a sort of master list in one of the staff sections which is more of a reference/source for tags and tagging for staff.

The special tags are awarded for various reasons like contest prizes or helping staff. Some of them are in-jokes between long term community members or related to sadly defunct projects on the site. Like Member Titles, they are given out but not on request

Oh, crap - EB was beamed into life in 2003 ... I was born in 1962. When the tags created in 2003 are "very old", then that means, I am - well, essentially - petrified. But still punching the keys ... this IS a weird world, isn't it? Time ...

You'll find all these very old tags, I am sure.

Wouldn´t that be just another reason to have a list, so people can check what certain tags were awarded for? I mean, sure maybe it wouldn´t be possible to track all of them down, especially if some were just created to be awarded for a single member. But as far as I understood some were also awarded for certain events and such and are also more common to see in the forum. Personally, like @SpacePolice89 I´ve been wondering about the origin of some of them while browsing the forum quite often. ;).

Many thanks!!! This means a lot to me. My first Lego set that I remember was a Futuron minifig pack with astronauts in different colors and since then I have liked this logo very much. I used to draw it on the pages of school books when I was bored and nowadays I have a metal version of it on my desk.

Well, it depends . You know, some folks believe that they travel close to the speed of light through this world - which means, they get far less older with time ... which in turn may suggest they're wrong about their speed. But - who knows.

"OALD and Merriam-Webster have no entry for "phantastic". Dated means old language, no longer used. The normal spelling today is fantastic. If an auther uses the spelling phantastic he digs out the Greek spelling whatever may be the reason."

(BTW, a universe-wide search for "auther" was going nowhere ...)

No problem! The classic smiley head with the pigtails is from the Classic Town blog, I used to be part of it while it was still active. The Ostrich was from a Prince of Persia contest from back when that was an active theme (a while ago). The goat tag actually predates the LEGO goat, I used to have an MSN icon goat until the official goat arrived. That is a bit of a joke with the staff and fellows, hence why it is unique (no, I am not an old goat! But there is a lot of context, hence the in-joke).

The Stud Lover tag is what it says on the tin; I like to build with studs showing proudly, I don't think it has been given out in a while, but I am going to take a good look at people's MOC body of work to see if anyone new qualifies. 

Customiser is from the Minifig Custom workshop, I used to make some custom capes and other garments from paper (When I had access to CAD). Nya's logo is one I had made for a big Ninjago contests I ran and I did like it a lot so I use it, the same with the Elves symbol. Sky-Fi was awarded from Special Themes as there was a time I built a lot of MOCs in that style. My country flag is Wales. I am Welsh. 

I'm going to try and get more active in giving people tags. There are a lot and they are fun.
