Manta Posted August 2, 2008 Posted August 2, 2008 (edited) Sorry for the defult pictures I couldn't find my camera. Set Number: 7090 Pieces: 54 Price: $5.99 A rather small set, but still a great one. Great source of crossbows and knights, and a cheap way to get yourself 3 minifigs (4 if you count the skeleton horse) I wish it had came with a weapon for the archer knight, but I used a knife and a saber from the Jungle Duel set to arm them. ( I bought 2, and It was worth it. ) The crossbow, main feature of this set, is great. It's missles consist of a ball with a technic hole, and a technic stick. It uses a rubber band to launch the missile. You pull back the thing behind the launcher, then let go and it launches. Final Scores Minifigs: 10/10 ( 3 minifigs for 5.99? Price per Parts: 9/10 (It'd need to be 60 parts for 10/10, $1 to 10 parts is good value in my opinion) Playbillity: 5/10 ( Not much to do, except shoot the horse. ) Parts: 10/10 ( allows for some great parts for MOCs. ) Overall: A great set that is a great army builder for Castle 8/10 Edited August 2, 2008 by Manta Quote
meschepers Posted August 2, 2008 Posted August 2, 2008 I agree with everything you said in your review. Though I didn't much care for the crossbow part of the set. I built it and then took it apart. I bought primarily as an army builder. I think I bought 4 of them. It is a great value for the number of figs... plus I just love the wide brimmed helmet. And, if you don't actually use the large launching crossbow you have 2 minifig crossbows with which to arm your archer(s), just need a few quivers. Quote
Manta Posted August 2, 2008 Author Posted August 2, 2008 I bought 2 for the minifigs, but my crossbows are still together somehow because I haven't found a use for the pieces, and like I said, I used a knife and saber from Jungle Duel to arm my archers. The wide brim hats are amazing. Quote
