Hello everyone I happened to be in a film studio work for me and I have caught on that very lego perhaps something will bring out of Jurassic Park IV.

Unfortunately, this is very uncertain, but who knows happiness.

We wait and see.

Wow, this is exciting!

Since there were Lego sets of Jurassic Park III, this seems promising!

I hope that they will not make those ugly dinosaurs from 2005 again. Better the adventurers dinosaurs from 2000.

I have faith in Jurassic Park, not in the new Mummy-Excuse-For-A-Movie. I actually enjoyed Jurassic Park III, the first was of course class and the second wasn't as good as the others. Something deep inside me loves to see Dennis Nedry being mauled by a dinosaur.

So in that case...

Just to celebrate.

Interesting... :look:

What's odd about another Jurassic Park film is that surely the story must be similar to the others.

I would  to see some new species of dinosaurs that were the results of experiments on the islands! (especially in lego)

Are You Kidding ME!!! The Dinosaurs from dino attack were waaaayyyy more realistic.... The only bad thing was some of the dinos were a bit big and the small velocia rapters (they were called mutant lizards) were too colourful... but than again who knows wat colours dinos are

I Do really like the adventures theme and the dinos in it too. But i still think the new dinos are definatly more realistic (besides there super powers  )

I doubt it. The JP3 sets didn't sell very well. Its also been a long time so the license has probably lapsed.

I also hope not, because I'm kind of sick of Lego dinosaurs.

Me too. I enjoyed all three movies - even though it was fairly predictable by the third. Since the actual characters got better with every movie, I didn't mind that I could see most everything coming. :classic:

Heh, but that's considering that the TWO JP3 sets were possibly one of the biggest hash togethers ever seen in a lego liscense. If TLC made a whole new line and took the Indiana Jones approach (sets for both the old and new movies, and actual minifigs of the characters), I think it might sell well. And considering that TLC has really good relations with Speilburg and Lucas, it wouldn't suprise me at all.

Spielberg, I like. Lucas... it's murky. But LucasFilms and Universal... I love. You have good points here, the Indy approach on Jurrasic Park would work. Everyone loves giant dinosaurs, and most normal people like Jurassic Park. Or at least my big mouth says.

Interesting news, and I always gave a lot about the rumors from legomilk! The Spielberg-connection could be it, the older movies could make some nice sets as well, kids love dinosaurs, JP3 earned 180 Mio in the US. But if I remember it right the JP3 sets didn't sell, the last dino line didn't sell too well and I wonder if TLC throws out the money they made from Star Wars and lovely sets for just other licences, expansive and very risky. Or.... do they still have the licence? Could be..

Am I interested? Not in Dinosaurs, definetely. And not in another licence to collect. SW, Indy, Batman, Spiderman, Harry Potter, Spongebob, Avatar... it is enough. But interested in new fleshy heads for my SW rebel army I am! In new parts! And in nice big trees. :classic:

At Brickworld one of the LEGO reps said that they are always on the lookout for good licenses and since dinosaurs have always been popular with LEGOs target audience, I could see a Jurassic Park line happening. If it does happen, I can see it going two ways: a Jurassic Park IV one shot deal (like this years Speed Racer sets) or like Grevious suggested - a full blown license like Indiana Jones where they do Jurassic Park IV sets and classic Jurassic Park sets from movies 1-3.

If they do come out with Jurassic Park sets, I hope they use the old style dinos from 2001 (the ones that came in cannisters - sets 6719, 6720, 6721, 6722). And LEGO, whatever future license sets you do come out with, please refrain from reusing the Bruce Wayne and sneering Draco Malfoy minifig heads - we need more variety in fleshy minifigs.

I also can see this taking the same course that Speed Racer did. Have a few nice sets, and let it die a quick, discreet death.

I also second the Bruce Wayne, Draco Malfoy head suggestion. I have about at least 3 or 4 of each, and they are really getting on my nerves. (Just like the City sunglasses head....)

And the face that they were a bit cartoony and some of them had virtually no articulation.

I doubt it. The JP3 sets didn't sell very well. Its also been a long time so the license has probably lapsed.

Firstly, they weren't even worthy of the license - they were just a couple of Adventurers dinosaurs, Johnny Thunder, and a camera. The sets didn't even bear any resemblance to any parts of the film.

But if they do a JPIV license that also includes the first three movies, I'd like to see them take stuff from the books as well - especially the Lost World, there are some great things missing in the movie.

Scaredy/not scared heads would be good too.

I agree with the head thing. Besides more variety, I'd also like to see more female heads. The most generic ones are Hermione Granger and Marion Ravenwood. The rest of them are either old or have masks on.

I didn't even know they were making a 4th movie. Except the other day I had a dream that they ere making one, A premonition perhaps? Anyway I would love to see some sets with BRICK built dinos with those exo force hinge things on the legs and arms.

Here is where we are disscusing a possible jusrassic park theme (Something I am really looking foward because before lego I collect the kenner line of jurassic park :cry_happy: ) I think is correct to post this find here because if TLC build dinos like this all the sets will be must-buy, just check:

Awesome T-rex

It is just awesome  .

Can anyone tell me where the news comes from that Jurassic Park IV is being made? Not to sound posh, but I tend to know about film projects that are in the works... And the last thing I heard on JP IV is from at least a year ago (and it was bad news: a script draft had been rejected).

As for TLC doing JP: that would rock! The original film is my all time favourite movie. There are some very good LEGO sets to be made there! A minifig Alan Grant or John Hammond would be amazing (we NEED an Indy fedora in white, TLC!). If there will ever be a set of the kids in the jeep with the Rex trying to reach them.... JP fan heaven!

So, in short: a JP LEGO line would rock my world, but where the heck is this whole "JP IV coming soon"-idea based on?

The last thing I have heard is that the development of the movie is delayed another year for a 2009 (probably 2010) release because of the problems with the writers in hollywood of the first two quarters of this year  . I am a jurassic park fan too and I always want the TLC to release a line about this trilogy (soon probably quadrilogy :cry_happy: ) .

I agree

I hope they are not from a mold though hope they are ones you have to build but hope there are some cool minifigures too.

It seems very plausible... Perhaps they will make some sets of the previous movies aswell, just like with Indiana Jones.

And of course if that happens, we will see LEGO Jurassic Parc: The video game...

It sounds a bit like they are milking Spielberg/Lucas movies when I say it like this, but they would be stupid not to make a game.

All these movies translate very well into lego games, imagine:

The main base (just like the bar/cantina in Lego Star Wars) would be the park research centre, where you can "cook" up your own minifigs in the kitchen.

The three movies (IV will most likely be a seperate game, 6 months later you can buy the together with EXTRA content!) will be devided in funny little chapters.

Also, the movies have scenes very fit for Lego parodies, the cow beeing fed to the raptors, we all know what that will look like...
