legoRookie2021 Posted November 3, 2024 Posted November 3, 2024 Currently, several friends have published many excellent alternate builds for the LEGO set 42157. However, I wanted to create something a little bit different and want it looks cool, which led to the following creation : a Jeep Wrangler With Big Wheels(42157 Alternate). This is my second alternate building of 42157, It contains those functions below:1. Openable doors and engine hood2. Adjustable seat back3. Rear-wheel drived inline six-cylinder engine4. Front wheel steering systemI also used the 4 pneumatic cylinders and 2 60tooth Turntables to make the suspension system. however as the reset speed of the pneumatic cylineders is too slow, it doesnt work very well as a suspension system. For more infomation ,you can check the video below. Hope you like it. The instruction is now available on Rebrickable: LEGO MOC 42157 Alternate Jeep Wrangler With Big Wheels by legoRookie2021 | Rebrickable - Build with LEGO Quote
allanp Posted November 3, 2024 Posted November 3, 2024 Nice work, looks very cartoonish in its proportions but you're limited to the parts of the set and it ends up looking kinda cute! Quote
ukbajadave Posted November 3, 2024 Posted November 3, 2024 Nice work! Did anyone else immediately think of this? Quote

LEGO Train 12 Volts Posted November 5, 2024 Posted November 5, 2024 Wow it reminds me of the times when Lego always made two sets in the 80s technical models. Beautiful MOC! Quote
