But what a beatiful Ship She is! :pir-cry_happy: :pir-wub: Truly a ship to showcase off! Brings me back old memories from the masterpieces we have seen here from the master shipbuilders before!

How did you attach the lower flags to the stern. The gold ones?

I used this piece:

This way:

Nah mate. Even if I had one, which obviously I don't.

Use pictures as a reference. And your imagination...:steve:

The Batavia is a beautiful ship. I am a huge fan of galleons and I love your rendition of a merchant vessel similar to that.

Thanks.

I love also galleons:pir-triumph:

The actual replica of Batavia made it easier for me to build this model.

And I'm glad, that more than a year after its publication it still arouses the atention of viewers.

It's a beautiful MOC VOC galleon! Thanks to the color scheme, it's really reminiscent of the Batavia! :pir-huzzah2:

I like that the stern is angled upwards! Great job on the sails too! I know it's not easy if you do them by hand.

To be completely faithful to your inspiration, you'd have to make the entire hull curve upwards towards the bow and the stern, but especially the stern. Can't really do that with hull pieces though.

If I could curve the hull, it would be perfect(ion).:pir-laugh:

And about stern - it did took some effort to get those angles right, but  ball joints do the most work.

Anyway - thanks for your kind words. :pir-huzzah2:
