Ben S Posted June 5, 2024 Posted June 5, 2024 (edited) I'm happy to show you my first freebuild for Guilds of Historica Hope you like it! Deep within the vast forests of Mitgardia lives Eirikr the Druid with the orphan twins he adopted, Leaf and Hazel. They live in harmony with the forest, and although they seldom venture beyond it, their presence is well known and attracts visitors from all over Mitgardia seeking advice, potions, and remedies. One of Eirikr's most crucial tasks is creating the potion named Pyrestim, whose ingredients are incredibly rare and difficult to gather, and whose preparation is lengthy, making the potion scarce. Each year, a party from Frostwatch Keep arrives to collect it and bring it back to the keep, where it is vital. Some interior details: Spoiler Edited June 5, 2024 by Ben S Quote
SimWies Posted June 6, 2024 Posted June 6, 2024 Nice work! Love the minifig placement, makes it look very natural. The fireplace is also very nice, might have to copy that some time in the future Quote

jtooker Posted June 7, 2024 Posted June 7, 2024 Looks great. I like the non-right angles in the stone building. Quote
T-86(swebrickLUG) Posted June 10, 2024 Posted June 10, 2024 Great angles on that house and nice work on the trees Ben. Interesting plot with the Pyrestim! Quote
LordDan Posted June 11, 2024 Posted June 11, 2024 Welcome to the guilds! Very nice work on the shape of the building, with the angled lower section and steep roofs. I don’t really love the patchwork color dark blue/ light bley stonework, but that’s more my personal preference/ style and you did a good job blending them and have incorporated some nice texturing / sideways building in there. Overall a great build and I can’t wait to see more! Quote
Ben S Posted June 11, 2024 Author Posted June 11, 2024 @jtooker @T-86(swe) Thanks guys! I took the inspiration for the house's shape from the 'Up' house. 22 hours ago, T-86(swe) said: Interesting plot with the Pyrestim! Grover Posted June 27, 2024 Posted June 27, 2024 Welcome! It's great to see a new face here! I really like your build. The roofline is a bit reminiscent of the Mill Village Raid from years ago, and I like the scale that you have chosen. It feels very much like a traditional Lego set. I think you've done a nice job adding texture and color to the stonework without going overboard and making it too busy. The corners on the rounded part with the window is particularly nice. I love what you did with the firewood stack. The well is quite nice, a very clean, compact build. I think you've done an excellent job keeping the muted green and brown palette on the outside to signify a deep forest, but you oppose that nicely with color that pops in the chair and bookshelf on the inside. The fireplace is well done, and I like the inclusion of a shovel. You have done a very nice job, particularly on the interior, of getting a lot of detail into a set-sized build, which is pretty tricky due to the space being at a premium. I like how you have left an open ended story there as well. Can't wait to see the next one! Keep up the good work! Quote
Ben S Posted July 3, 2024 Author Posted July 3, 2024 @Grover Whoa, thank you very much! I'm very glad you liked it. Your detailed feedback really made my day! I hope I can come up with another GoH build soon, I already have the story thought out for at least another three. Quote
