imposter Posted April 19 Posted April 19 Lion Knight's like also Black Falcon both come from Britain. They have this "England" emblem (red/white). Quote
Agent Kallus Posted April 20 Posted April 20 (edited) While I understand putting them to specific countries and kingdoms and the like, to me they were always fully fictional kingdoms. Edited April 20 by Agent Kallus Quote

Horse and Snake from creator set and Griffin and Kraken from Ideas gumball machine What's the Ideas gumball machine? Is it also an actual castle set, or is it a gumball machine like the name says and the figures are just accessories to the gumballs? On 4/19/2025 at 3:45 AM, DonQuixote said: It all depended in what country you lived in. In Belgium ,the Lion Knights were depicted as Flemish and the Black Falcons as supporters to France. And the Forestmen were just called Robin Hood and his men. Black Knights were just Black Knights. Even the names of the castles had different names. Lion Knights castle was called castle Clauwaert in Belgium and in the Netherlands it was called castle Wittemburg. Wow, really? Did not know that. Was the name of the faction shared via catalogues, or how did it work then? How times have changed. Lego wouldn't get away with that in Belgium nowadays, I think, seeing how everything is super politicized now. I also imagine the Fantasy Era and 2013 knights being Scotland, though I have absolutely no historical basis for that. You might think of Fantasy Era as being Scots, because there was once a visual depicting them in a battle together with Scottish Highlanders. If my memory serves me right. Did a quick Google search and didn't immediately find the image, but I distinctly recall seeing something like that way back. Quote

It's a gumball machine but rather than gumballs it dispenses Lego minifigs parts in brickbuilt gacha pods. They're making a few new minifigs just for it, there was a vote a little while back which is why we know that the options are ( And the winners of the choices are has been shared less legitimately as well). GeoBrick Posted April 20 Posted April 20 For me they were always counties and duchies, with a number of lieges. The one and only kingdom bears the crown standard. Quote

I personally did my country-matching for uses in more real world historical projects, figuring which figures fit best where. As a purely LEGO matter, of course they're all uniquely their own. But where's the fun in that? Quote
imposter Posted April 20 Posted April 20 I'm starting to think that CASTLE was discontinued because it is difficult to "make it a game" ... It would be a WAR game. The 2016 launch of Nexo Knights saw a larger focus on storytelling and digitalization than seen before in a Castle theme, creating an elaborate universe of good and evil characters. -LEGO Quote

The name of the factions were shared through catalogues. Nowadays it would be too political to do it it in Belgium. As a kid, it was the first time I came in contact with Flemish nationalism. Quote
imposter Posted April 21 Posted April 21 Does helmet of minifigure tell what type it is? In my own Castle Universe there are for example: Scout Archer | Spearman Pikeman Swordman Knight Bodyguard King | Queen Their helmets, accessories and weapons differ each other. If soldier gets upgrade, it can have RED/BLUE/YELLOW plume. Then its weapons also change. Only King or Queen can have WHITE plume. Other soldier types are: Drummer Stableboy Man-at-arms Lord This is my ranking system with Lion Knights and Black Falcons. Factions I collect and develop. Both factions have also SPECIAL type of ally. Beast Master Wizard Witch Bird-Man Rat-Man Pig-Man Also both factions have animals. Lion Knights have brown dog and horse, frogs, birds, cows, goats, and so on... Black Falcons have tan horse, grey dog, cat, wolf, falcon, rats. Their armor and weapons differ a bit. Falcons have mostly BLACK. Lions SILVER. There must be 3rd faction. So I'm currently making it from Dreamzzz... they have for example Nightmare King and other powerful SPECIAL soldiers. Quote
Mopasali Posted April 24 Posted April 24 With some leaks on the Unicorn Castle, we're getting molded horses - 2 foals and a unicorn! Awesome for a fantasy build! I think my Orions from CMF 26 will live in this affordable castle in the cloud. Quote

BrickBob Studpants Posted April 24 Posted April 24 2 hours ago, Roebuck said: Yes, but not the unicorn Even so it's shocking to get moulded horses like @Mopasali say in a Creator set As other people have pointed out, it‘s hilarious to see moulded horses in his Creator set and then brick-built horses in the Creator castle And not only is it weird to have moulded animals in a Creator set to begin with, but a currently exclusive one at that with the new unicorn! Of all the potential themes to introduce a unicorn (like Dreamzzz, Harry Potter, Pokémon, or Friends even), I never would‘ve thought it‘d be Creator Quote
imposter Posted April 24 Posted April 24 Well some say that Creator is NEW Castle theme. Also Pirates and even Space. Quote
Agent Kallus Posted April 24 Posted April 24 I'd say city is the new home if the space theme! It's latest space sub theme is less grounded and more fantastical which (while it doesn't really suit city thematically) is really cool. Quote
imposter Posted April 24 Posted April 24 Well, 1 thing is sure we will NEVER see "year of Castle". Those will be only CITY subthemes. (Space and F1). Quote
Lion King Posted April 26 Posted April 26 For some reasons,, I’m surpsied that there is a unicorn foal coming in Creator castle and I’m greatly pleased! I enjoy collecting fantasty molded creatures. Quote
Lion King Posted April 26 Posted April 26 I wonder if this Creator set with molded horses would be potential for a future girl-oriented minifigure theme, like we had minidoll-world Elves? Quote
Mopasali Posted April 30 Posted April 30 Do you all think we get pricing and final designs for BDP Series 5 tomorrow? That series includes Tortuga, which can serve as a tropical/Mediterranean medieval village, and a Gothic castle in Adventure in Transylvania. We saw sneak peeks of the final designs a few weeks ago, but BDP's timeline has finalizing designs until May 1. Quote

Cyprinus Posted May 1 Posted May 1 (edited) In a shocking twist the Horse Knights actually get two sets of prints. And the Snake feels very useful. Edited May 1 by Cyprinus Quote
RichardGoring Posted May 1 Posted May 1 The primary build looks good, but the alternate builds don't seem as good as the Black Falcon's castle, although I like the variety and storytelling they offer. The figures are great and I look forward to getting a load of them from PAB. Quote
