R0Sch Posted February 23, 2024 Posted February 23, 2024 Hi there LEGO fans, I know set 4000041 was given to hospitals all around the world to make kids less scared of MRI scans and there even were attempts on Ideas to make one as an official set. I think this MRI Scanner would look good in any City hospital, so I would like to rebuild it digitally and post the Studio model here on the forum. Maybe even do an auto-generated instruction for it, since there is none available at lego. Does anyone have access to this set and could post more detailed images of it here? I know it came pre-assembled and didn't contain any instructions when given out, as posted here by a medical staff: https://brickset.com/article/106487/random-part-of-the-day-upper-part-for-turntable-z60-no-2 Quote
R0Sch Posted February 23, 2024 Author Posted February 23, 2024 Based on part list, the videos from the box QR code and some more images found online, I think I'll be able to reverse engineer it. Quote
R0Sch Posted February 24, 2024 Author Posted February 24, 2024 Here's my reverse engineered MRT Scanner. There are multiple versions on the web but this is based on the official set and part list from brickset. Enjoy! 4000041.io Quote
fingon Posted October 16, 2024 Posted October 16, 2024 (edited) Finished, only very minor tweaks - thank you! Edited October 27, 2024 by fingon Quote
mabba18 Posted March 8 Posted March 8 Long time lurker. Finally joined to say thanks for this build. My wife has medical issues and has had many MRIs in a short time. This was a must build. We've brought when going for scans. The technicians always get a kick out of it, and it makes everything less stressful. Frustrating that TLG has been so cagey about this set. They should be getting it into as many hands as possible. This build is much closer to the actually set than the instructions that were on ReBrickable for a short time. No rare parts either, even the medical torsos were on PaB. There seems to be multiple parts lists, that vary how the white walls are built. Some have extra plates on top. You can see the difference between the boxed version and the actual photos. The only tweaking I did was to add those plates, and it improved stability. What really got me to comment is that there are now two for these sets on eBay: item# 276908211992 and item# 297066875861 There are photos of the complete box. Far out of my price range, but very curious as to what is in the box. Everything I have read seems to say they were hand-picked and pre-built, so I wonder if there is even anything resembling "proper instructions". Quote
