Hello fellows.

Here's a mech inspired by Battletech/Mechwarrior aesthetics.
I made it mostly because I wanted to utilize the windshield piece. It's thrown together with no real forethought to the design other than the ability to hold a minifig.
You can see front, back, and side views on my Bricklink Gallery

The lore snippet is kinda whatever but every sci fi thing should have at least some kind of lore. The idea is mostly a basic conflict between chunkier battletech/Mechwarrior style mecha piloted by people versus Gundam style mecha that through cyberization are people. I am one with my machine. Literally.

Developed in 2933 by the Kepler-Braxis Alliance, the SR-72 Nighthawk; code designation "Void Lancer" was a Stealth Recon and Fast Strike unit developed to combat the Ascetics of Atarthkha. The Nighthawk utilized a diverse array of electronic countermeasure modules, radar and sensor jammers alongside mimetic armor that made electronic and visual detection near impossible. Oversized Actuators and Electroactive Polymer fiber bundles in the legs are controlled by an Advanced Adaptive Motive System and can be "preloaded" allowing the Nighthawk to Sprint from a standstill to it's maximum cruising speed of 129.57 KPH in just over 3.7 seconds. Armament consists of Heavy Particle Accelerator Cannons in each arm and are supported by twin variable-frequency lasers in the right Torso. A single six shot launcher in the left torso provides offensive and defensive flexibility with High Explosive, Incendiary, Smoke, and EMP Burst munitions able to be carried.

I like it! Does it have an interior?

Only a very basic one with a couple of printed console pieces. Haven't yet come up with an interior utilizing SNOT techniques that I'm happy with.

Sweet mech. It definitely has the Battletech styling. It's got serious firepower. Can it cool them?

I figure it would have cooling problems since it's not intended for prolonged direct engagements. Get the drop on the enemy through stealth, then strike fast and hard and get out of dodge before they can respond, utilizing smoke and EMP burst rounds in the launcher to help cover it's retreat while it re-enters stealth mode.
