I Scream Clone Posted July 20, 2008 Posted July 20, 2008 (edited) The Lair of the Evil Wizard is under attack by the Kings Crown Army! Wizard must fight fellow Wizard, 100 metres above roiling lava rivers in a battle to the death! The Good knights have their hands full on this mission and some may not make it back alive Thanks to all the people who helped my WIP, it really helped change the whole build for me, Cheers! On with the show..... Photobucket this one has the smaller pics! Flickr Bricklink Edited August 6, 2008 by Sir Dillon Quote
Jameseh Posted July 20, 2008 Posted July 20, 2008 (edited) Liking it! Maybe trade the lightning piece for a fire one, to make it look more "evil" and may look better with the black staff. Also you could swap out the red tiles thats being used for the lava for some trans orange, red, yellow 1x1's to give it a bit more depth and variety, and you could also make it more layered by using them. Overall, I'd give it an 88/100. Edited July 20, 2008 by Jameseh Quote
Sandy Posted July 20, 2008 Posted July 20, 2008 Whoa, I can't believe this is even the same thing we're talking about here! You've done a great job with the process, I love all the little details and scenes included in it. The shambled shack next to the tower is really innovative, too. And I don't mind the red river of lava at all! It brings a nice contrast to the dark surroundings, no need for any fancy translucency, in my opinion. A fantastic MOC, I have to say! Quote
Lt. Col. Thok Posted July 20, 2008 Posted July 20, 2008 Excellent MoC there, ISC! I like your landscaping techniques. Quote
Adam Posted July 20, 2008 Posted July 20, 2008 Great MOC! You sure revamped that crumbling ruin I saw before! Looks awesome, great job . Quote
BlueBard Posted July 20, 2008 Posted July 20, 2008 Wow, nice work here! I must say I really like the final result Quote
Wout Posted July 20, 2008 Posted July 20, 2008 Looks very nice. Go Crownies! LOL, the good wizard is weaponed with a chickenleg. Quote
Stash2Sixx Posted July 20, 2008 Posted July 20, 2008 Looks great ISC! The Red River Valley, LOL (sorry), looks really good. Keep it just like it is. I mean hey, you could have made it a yellow river...thankfully that didn't happen. I like the different levels of action. Good intensity! Quote
Norro Posted July 21, 2008 Posted July 21, 2008 Not my style. But I have to admit this MOC/scene looks like a lot of fun! Great work! God Bless, Nathan Quote
iamded Posted July 21, 2008 Posted July 21, 2008 This is great, I Scream Clone! A wonderful lair for the evil wizard, I can imagine him calling forth hordes of the undead from the lava. Completely illogical, but it would look cool. Anyway, it's a great creation, the SNOT lava is always a bonus, I know it can be difficult to integrate it with the landscape sometimes. The tower is of course magnificent, and the shack beside it with the stable/blacksmith is a great addition. Overall this is a fantastic creation! Will we be seeing more from you? ~Peace Quote

There was barely any sellers with the quantity of Trans orange on BL that i needed so two 500 piece parts packs did the job using red tiles Excellent MoC there, ISC! I like your landscaping techniques. Thanks! i would have liked fully smooth cliffs but i just dont own that many slopes! Yet! Great MOC! You sure revamped that crumbling ruin I saw before! Looks awesome, great job . Couldn't have done it without everyones input! Wow, nice work here! Great work!God Bless, Nathan Thanks for still taking the time to post Norro, i really aspire to build works as cool as yours, obviously with my own comical twists This is great, I Scream Clone! Yes you will be seeing more from me, but i want to see something from you too iamded Quote
NewRight Posted July 21, 2008 Posted July 21, 2008 (edited) The bridge that the Good Wizard is standing on should probably be crumbling. It might look better. Other than that this is a beautiful MOC. Excellent detail. Edited July 21, 2008 by NewRight Quote
Wilhelm screamer Posted July 21, 2008 Posted July 21, 2008 While the construction is good... I can't shake the feeling that it is empty. More minifigs would definitively help. Quote
