Klaus-Dieter Posted July 20, 2008 Posted July 20, 2008 (edited) Hello 4999 Vestas Wind Power Plant fans! I thought it would surely be good if we are aible to present TLG an information about how much money everybody of us would pay for this amazing set. So please vote! Matn Posted July 20, 2008 Posted July 20, 2008 Why a third topic about the 4999? We can discuss this lovely set in one topic, can't we? ... Quote
Zarkan Posted July 20, 2008 Posted July 20, 2008 Don't have a clue, seeing as I'm from the USA. Quote
Pencoin Posted July 20, 2008 Posted July 20, 2008 no idea cause im english but id say around £50 - £80 Quote
legotrainfan Posted July 20, 2008 Posted July 20, 2008 I'd be willing to pay up to 100 euro for such a fabulous set. If it was more expensive, I might buy it nevertheless. Quote
skinkfem Posted July 20, 2008 Posted July 20, 2008 (edited) i would buy it on a sale if the price dropped enough, one can never have to much loose parts. my city demands something more robust for its energy needs like a nuclear, fusion or even a coalplant. when lego delivers a powerplant that can realistically power more than a few houses then im willing to cosider its price. edit: besides my city has little birdlife as is, i dont feel the need to reduce their population further by installing a large birdswatter Edited July 20, 2008 by skinkfem Quote
Section8 Posted July 21, 2008 Posted July 21, 2008 Here's the converted prices for all of our non-EU friends: 70 EUR = ~110 USD, 55 GBP 100 EUR = ~160 USD, 80 GBP 150 EUR = ~240 USD, 120 GBP 200 EUR = ~320 USD, 160 GBP 250 EUR= ~400 USD, 200 GBP and Canadian dollars are roughly equal to USD. All prices approximate due to fluctuating rates and rounding. I know that sets usually aren't priced the same across currencies, but this lets everyone vote. Quote
Pencoin Posted July 21, 2008 Posted July 21, 2008 (edited) Thanks for that Section8, i voted 100 euros Edited July 21, 2008 by Pencoin Quote
Holodoc Posted July 21, 2008 Posted July 21, 2008 Here a piece count would have helped. Anyone? I voted 100€, BUT only for this set. I would prefer to buy the plain windmill only - without the BURPS, the house and the van and pay <50€ though. Quote
Siegfried Posted July 21, 2008 Posted July 21, 2008 Why a third topic about the 4999? We can discuss this lovely set in one topic, can't we? ... Indeed; seriously no more topics on this set... until someone does a review. Quote
Klaus-Dieter Posted July 21, 2008 Author Posted July 21, 2008 I voted for until 150 Euros. I think that a price of 70-100 Euros would be realistic and fair, too. Although my budget is very little I  this set so much that I would pay even until 150 Euros for it. Klaus-Dieter Quote
legomilk Posted July 21, 2008 Posted July 21, 2008 What I have understood that in October perhaps the set for sale via the Internet, but the price would take more than 100 euros. Quote
Shoc Posted July 21, 2008 Posted July 21, 2008 What I have understood that in October perhaps the set for sale via the Internet. Yay! The price would take more than 100 euros. Meh... I'm not sure what I would pay for that set, maybe that much... :skull: Quote

Thank you very much for that news, legomilk! It would be so awesome and would be a great decision of TLG if we'll be possible to get this brilliant set. And if it's between 100-150 Euros that would be expensive - but I'd buy it since I really want this set! Klaus-Dieter Edited July 21, 2008 by Klaus-Dieter Quote

Mind telling us the source? Is this "official" or just "I heard somebody mentioning something" ? Otherwise it´s still rumours. ... - but I'd buy it since I really want this set! I believe some of us may have noticed that already... Quote
Section8 Posted July 22, 2008 Posted July 22, 2008 I would prefer to buy the plain windmill only - without the BURPS, the house and the van and pay <50€ though. That's funny, I only want the house and van, and don't really like the windmill due to it's scale. Wanna split it? You can have the box too if you want :-) Quote

Crazydance Posted August 5, 2008 Posted August 5, 2008 (edited) *darn, just added this post i see that i can vote again!* This is one of the best sets i've seen, although it doesn't have much parts just due to it's scale it's a great addition to anyone's collection.
