tin7_creations Posted July 19, 2008 Posted July 19, 2008 (edited) I just watched the movie and fell in love with it, I decided to make a bunch of my own MOCS. Batpod: http://www.flickr.com/photos/tin7/2680753675/ http://www.flickr.com/photos/tin7/2681570814/ http://www.flickr.com/photos/tin7/2681570358/ Joker: http://www.flickr.com/photos/tin7/2680750379/ And of course, some of my favorite scenes from the movie. All of them star the late Heath Ledger, aka. Joker. Pencil Trick: http://www.flickr.com/photos/tin7/2680750297/ Hit Me: http://www.flickr.com/photos/tin7/2680749845/ I Want My Phone Call: http://www.flickr.com/photos/tin7/2680750055/ Please review, any feedback is appreciated. If you've already watched the movie you'll know which scenes these are. If not, I don't want to spoil it for you, so it's probably good that you don't view these until you've watched the movie. Alas, I botched up most of these with my sloppy Photoshop work. Edited July 19, 2008 by tin7 Quote
SWMAN Posted July 19, 2008 Posted July 19, 2008 I like them. I just saw it yesterday, and it was amazing. I loved the story, the characters, and everything about it. Heath Ledger/The Joker was amazing, and so was Harvey Dent. The only thing I did not like was how they set up the next movie. Quote
darkrebellion Posted July 19, 2008 Posted July 19, 2008 (edited) Good work tin7 . I saw the movie yesterday too and it was great . You do a really great job with the batpod and the scenes are well executed too . Good job . Edited July 19, 2008 by darkrebellion Quote
The Rancor Posted July 19, 2008 Posted July 19, 2008 Wow, you guys are lucky, the film doesn't come out until 25th July. I may see it as a pre-Clone Wars celebration (although it has nothing to do with Star Wars, just to get in the good mood ) I'm surprised to see that the film is rated PARENTAL GUIDANCE! There can't be too much violence in it then! I like those little creations you've made Tin7 Judging from the full Dark Knight trailer I saw the other day at the cinema, the Batpod is spot on! "Will you be needing the Batpod sir?" "No Alfred, something more inconspicuous." "The Lambourghini sir?" "Much less inconspicuous?" Quote
tin7_creations Posted July 20, 2008 Author Posted July 20, 2008 Good work tin7 . I saw the movie yesterday too and it was great . You do a really great job with the batpod and the scenes are well executed too . Good job . I'm probably going to rework the Batpod again. The one I made was from what I interpreted from the movie. The one from the screenshots is actually much smaller, thinner, and less... detailed. I think. Quote
Snake...SNAKE...SNAAAAKE?! Posted July 25, 2008 Posted July 25, 2008 someone's gotta make a bat pod compatible with the tumbler. I'm too lazy Quote
NewRight Posted July 25, 2008 Posted July 25, 2008 The BatPod looks amazing, but the Joker turned out kinda of weird. Not the best. Great work though, NewRight Quote
Dovchenko Posted July 29, 2008 Posted July 29, 2008 The BatPod looks amazing, but the Joker turned out kinda of weird. Not the best.Great work though, NewRight The Joker... weird? But yeah, I really like your comics. One problem though is that they're pretty tough to read. It's hard to find where to start end and just move on, maybe if you do some more you could add in arrows to direct us. Quote
Joebot Posted July 29, 2008 Posted July 29, 2008 But yeah, I really like your comics. One problem though is that they're pretty tough to read. It's hard to find where to start end and just move on, maybe if you do some more you could add in arrows to direct us. I had that problem too. Tin7, one thing to remember is that readers in the Western world are trained to scan a page starting from the top-left corner, then working right and down across the page. You have to organize your panels in a similar pattern, or else provide some other mechanism for directing the reader's attention (the arrows, as Dovchenko suggested, for example). Otherwise, cool stuff. I've seen the movie twice now, and loved it. I was exhausted by the end. That's the scariest portrayl of the Joker I've ever seen. It worked really well in the context of the movie's Batman "universe." I still don't like Christian Bale's Batman growl though. He sounds like he needs to clear his throat. No one will ever top Kevin Conroy from the animated Batman series .... Quote
jifel Posted July 29, 2008 Posted July 29, 2008 (edited) dont like the joker much, i would use a custom head, and green snape hair, but everything else was good. "and i thought my jokes were bad." jifel Edited July 29, 2008 by jifel Quote
