Ok, brainstorming time; if LEGO were to continue the Vikings line in Spring 06, what would you want to see?

Ahhhhh a fishermen village with a fish market, tavern, fishing boat !!!!!! New weapons like the prototype spikey net and new swords (dislike the KK2 ones), beards and viking ennemies instead of Bionicle Beasts.

Hmm, I'd like to see some more new weapons, may it be swords or something different, and less unrealistic catapaults, less 'Extreme' faces, a new type of beard (not the long beard, something shorter and dwarf-like) and some minifig packs like what Lego use to release, with about 5 or more Vikings, each different with new faces and new weapons. I'd also like to see packs without Comics and trading cards. What else would be good, is to see more small sets, like the Viking vs. the wolf. they are great for buying multiple copies of (just like the minifig packs) , and it's good to have more than one wolf lying around in the place.

Maybe some small huts and then a large house, sort of like the Golden Hall of Edoras.

Of course, small "story tellers" would be great, and so would mini-fig packs. ;)

Vikings vs knights.

A new series to combine the two themes.

Sets

$2-30pcs. Viking scout, small dragon shape boat with 1 viking outfitted with shield and a classic sword

$3-50pcs. Guardian Raft, small raft (6x6) with a sail, one castle oarsman (with weapons set aside), one castle archer

$4-20pcs. Duel, one viking with double bladed axe and shield, one armored soldier with two classic swords

$5-100pcs. Defense tower, small wooden tower with two archers, a covered barrel, and a target for practice

$7-40pcs. Minifigure pack, viking with sword and shield, armored viking with double bladed axe, viking with spear and shield, castle swordman with shield, castle archer, peasant with chicken leg and apple

$10-150pcs. Dragonfly, long shallow riding boat with dragon prow and stern, four viking oarsmen (with shields on side of boat and swords on a rack) and one armored viking captain with long bannered war maul

$15-200pcs. Tournament Ring, a 12x12 wooden fencelike ring with a gate, two peasants with food, one viking with spear, one castleman with sword, one viking with no shirt and a large beard with a wooden sword (brown) one castleman with wooden sword (brown)

$20-210pcs. Seige Machine, one large machine with a swinging ram in the middle, missle thing on top, two mini catapults on the side, and spear sticking out in a semi-circle, two vikings to push, one equipped captain to ride on top and one viking maiden on horse with a spear

$30-350pcs. Camp feast, two viking tents, one viking chieftain with black war paint on and a long beard, two viking axemen, one viking princess with spear, campfire with a boar on a spit (would require a new boar mold) a treasure chest full of jewels, a small hand cart, a small cage with a castlman inside

$50-450pcs. Seaside Tower, a tower built next to the water with a small lighthouse beacon on top, comes with three castle swordmen one castle archer, a castle captain, a female peasant with broom, a horse with barding and a small viking boat with one viking axeman

$100-700pcs. Grand Castle, a castle the size of 6080, one royal prince with gold armor and weapons, two fully armored knights on horse back with plenty of weapons, one caslte swordman, three castle archer, two viking swordsmen with a portable ram, one viking captain with armor and an axe, two Valkyrie on horses with white armor and wings instead of horns

Of course you couldn't have all of these but out of the eleven you could have 7 or so. I would really like some more variety in the viking figures. Valkyrie maidens, white and gold armor, new double braided beards, brown swords, a new boar mold, more food, more seiging and looting, lots of minifigures! If all 11 sets were made that would be $246 with 2300pcs., 46 minifigs, 6 horses and tons of goodies!

Since the Vikings haven't even been released in the USA ( *devil* ), it's a lil' early for me to start thinking about more, but if the do I would like to see;

Beards, helmets without horns, a village of some sort for the viknigs to attack, and maybe soldiers to defend it, and probably a few other things that I can't think of right now.

I was thinking that LEGO could turn the linking system they use for the fortress into something like what they did for King's Castle way back when. The idea was that you could take other sets and attach them to the main castle to expand it. They also worked well as standalone scenes.

There also needs to be an opposing force. Say, someone that's out to CAPTURE ALL THE EVIL BEASTS and USE THEM FOR VARIOUS NEFARIOUS PLANS or something. It could be a different faction of Vikings, or even someone like the English or the Irish. It would provide an opportunity for a realistic castle, while still maintaining the 'evil beast' focus.

I also agree that we need trolls (cornerstone of Norse mythology) and gods. I also really liked SuvieD's idea of watchtowers (being a big tower fan).

I want to see the HAMMER that was in the prototype pictures, also, seeing as these are NOT historically correct figures, I would like to see winged helmets, possibly a modified fright knight bat winged helmet but with different plug in wings (maybe even be able to plug in the horns ?) if LEGO added wings, they should not stick out from the side but be angled toward the back of the helmet. Also include a viking flag, some kind of raven banner.

I'd like to see a crossover between Vikings and Knights' Kingdom. Here's a few ideas: :o

Santis Versus The Viking Chief:

Small, compact set, featuring Santis and Viking with horse.

Danju's Prison:

Small, compact set, featuring Danju and Knight, with a prisoner in a jail cell, and a Viking trying to spring him loose.

Knights and Vikings:

Minifig pack, with two Vikings, two Knights and a horse.

Talonjay Defense:

Medium sized set, with a castle wall defended by two Knights, Jayko and attacked by three Vikings and a small boat.

Carriage Ambush:

Medium sized set, with a horse-drawn carriage featuring the King, Rascus, and a Knight, and four Vikings and a falling tree trap.

Sea Charger:

Large sized set, with a big Viking ship, complete with two levels, above and below, with a jail cell, a ballista, and three oarsmen, with four Vikings, a Viking Chief, and a Knight prisoner.

Castle Invasion:

Large sized set, featuring all four Hero Knights, the King and two ordinary Knights, and the Castle of Morcia, with two levels, along with a jail cell and catapult, also with a Viking Chief and two Vikings and a ballista attacking the Castle.

Ohhh...that'd be sweet.
