Davidz90 Posted October 12, 2023 Posted October 12, 2023 Incredible! Very clever idea to have two servos in the hip joint actuating hip and knee, and thus keeping legs very light. Also, amazing job with programming; the motion is soo fluid. Quote
Toastie Posted October 12, 2023 Posted October 12, 2023 I am closely following your posts here on EB @oracid One thing that is worth watching all your videos, regardless of topic, is education. Every time, I learn a lot. The other thing is: Your friendliness - without saying a word. It is just so enjoyable, and every time they make my day. I always take it as motivation. And finally: This robot is mind-blowing. Simple as that. Congratulations on your achievement!!! With best regards, Thorsten Quote
oracid Posted October 12, 2023 Author Posted October 12, 2023 Big thank @Toastie Hi @Davidz90 , this is called parallel mechanism or 5 bars mechanism. If you go to my YouTube channel, you will find videos that explain all this. Don't hesitate to ask questions. Thank you. Quote

I've studied various walking machine linkages some time ago, but this one is definitely new to me. Very clever. Looked at the code, it is much simpler than I thought it would be. Quote

glowytheglowbug Posted October 26, 2023 Posted October 26, 2023 danggg that is amazing! planning on creating a version based on your 12 dof dog :D were geekservo motors too underpowered for this? also how much N/M of torque do they have Quote
oracid Posted October 26, 2023 Author Posted October 26, 2023 (edited) Thank you. Yes, I guess one day I will make a 12 DOF at this scale. Grey GeekServo are very good but they don't have enough torque for a 2kg weight quadruped. But may be one day I will try with something like this, https://fr.aliexpress.com/item/1005005921900128.html?spm=a2g0o.productlist.main.91.3dceXw9CXw9CCp&algo_pvid=2ba79ee1-e9b7-4e51-af5b-b249db3500d8&algo_exp_id=2ba79ee1-e9b7-4e51-af5b-b249db3500d8-45&pdp_npi=4%40dis!EUR!22.65!18.12!!!23.33!!%40211b619a16966579216562001ed684!12000034861499352!sea!FR!871422066!&curPageLogUid=TWV4F7vdT2fC Edited October 26, 2023 by oracid Quote
Jurss Posted October 26, 2023 Posted October 26, 2023 Cool thing. now make it sit, jump, fetch ball and bark. Quote

For sitting and barking, it could be simple. For fetching a ball, it is possible with a Raspberry Pi, but not with an Arduino Nano. Although an HuskyLens cam could do the trick. For to make jumping a 2kg quadruped, Lego beams are not enough strong. Quote
