Hello everybody!

Welcome to my eleventh and regrettably last part of my "Wild West minifig show".

This time I present you a little delicacy ( ):

Indian Family

indianerfamilie.jpg

This is a typical Indian Family: The mother is cooking, the kids are playing with their "mini-stake" and an Indian doll and the father is at hunting.

And since this is regrattably the last part of my "Wild West minifig show" I would ask you for joining the poll to let me know whether you liked my "Wild West minifig show" or not. You can find all parts of this "show" at my BS gallery here. Please vote.

Comments are welcome! :sweet:

I like this set. We have a couple of mostly stock figures for adults, but then the nice twist of including kids and toys, showing normal people just living their lives. It's what I always ask for in the other lines, so it's good to see here.

I think you mean 'mini-totem' when you say 'mini-stake'. I was never sure how the cultural elements translated to other countries, which is probably one of the reasons that a line like this didn't last longer.

I gave the whole show a 2/2. I thought that some of the figures were too close to their original designs, but others stood out as great new ideas, so in the long run, I have to say that you did a good job.

Thanks for presenting your own personal take on the entire Wild West minifig lineup. :sweet:

The Indian Family sure looks very good and nice especially with the two little children playing around the mini-totem.

I must thanks for your effort, to present your "Wild West minifig show". These are some great introduction for members like me whom is not so familar with Wild West.

Good job, K.D

I had given both my ratings as "2".

You don't have to thank - I have to thank you all that there is the possibility to do something like that here on this great forum :sweet: !

I personally liked designing minifigs and taking pictures for my "show" very much - and the most I liked were of course all the nice and helpful comments of you all - thanks! :sweet:

In my semester break I'll take some pics of all my Wild West sets I own including all the minifigs I showed to you - and then I'll present you my Legoredo Town.

I thought the presentation was ok. While there isn't much that can be done with figure only creations, just a few figures standing around isn't overly interesting. Especially when a sizeable fraction consists of official figures. Maybe a background would help.

Also, I'd similarly rate the figures as ok. You had some gems (some in the rough) in there, but they were overshadowed by the less than interesting official figures.

I voted 2 for the presentation, it kept me waiting for the next part of your show, very entertaining.

And I voted 3 for minifigs, nothing special, but a nice way to introduce me to some of the older figs that I missed out on and what the old Wild West theme was like.

Nice to see that you liked the kind of presentation - I plan to do something like this "show" with some special police forces (City) in the next months.

Overall? I absolutely loved these... a one for presentation. Sounds a little generous, but with a background attention may be taken off of the figures. Your grey gave good shadowing and drew excellent attention to the scenes. I also based the one off of your MOC's... the blue backgrounds, the white brick walls, and the computer generated desert. Very, very good.

I had to mark off an entire point (making it a two), however, for the figs. They were good, but seeing official figures just thrown in there not only didn't make too much sense but was an unfortunate lack of effort. Not that your other figures, especially your signature "Western Family", which really looks quite wonderful and should remain permanently built. I liked the use of torsos from other themes, too. Your actual MOC'd figures brought you up to a 2, but not a 1 due to the dissappointing officials.

Thank you very much for your comment, Dovchenko! :sweet:

I see that the most of you didn't like the official minifigs in my "Wild West Minifig Show". But there were two reasons why I wanted them to be included, too:

-I hadn't/haven't got enough "custom" Western minifigs

-I wanted to include official minifigs, too, since they really belong to the WW theme

Perhaps now you might understand me better, perhaps even not  - but that's not bad.

BTW: Will there be someone who plans to do something like this "show", too? I really would like to see your custom minifigs, too.
