evank Posted June 30, 2023 Posted June 30, 2023 I have my father's old Lionel trains (1940s) set up in my man cave. I am thinking about adding a Lego monorail. But instead of buying official tracks, I'm planning to use vintage technic beams (Expert Builder period), attaching a bunch of hinges and rack pieces, and it's off to the races. Has anyone else done this? Quote
XG BC Posted June 30, 2023 Posted June 30, 2023 (edited) you have my attention my man. most people use the track system @Masao Hidakahas created. he uses basic bricks. also make shure to look into that thread: if you have any more questions feel free to ask them! Edited June 30, 2023 by XG BC Quote
evank Posted July 24, 2023 Author Posted July 24, 2023 Thanks, I'll check it out! I see now. Personally I like to build exclusively with Lego parts that were available during my childhood (1970s-1980s). Quote
XG BC Posted July 29, 2023 Posted July 29, 2023 been a while bzt would work too. basic bricks have been available then as have technic axles and gears right? Quote
