I visited the "Brick and Toy Museum" in Bellaire, Ohio. It's a privately owned, unofficial Lego museum.

Pros: They have a huge and amazing collection of custom creations on display. Also the tickets were dirt cheap, and it was fun way to spend an hour or two.

Cons: It's located in a run-down area in the middle of nowhere, some areas of the museum are poorly maintained, and there is little curation.

I recommend visiting if you're in the area (I was passing by anyhow), but I wouldn't go far out of my way to see it.
