SirNadroj Posted July 13, 2008 Posted July 13, 2008 Hope this belongs here. Some of you may have noticed my abscence the last 10 days or so...well, I was in Arizona. But I wasn't able to stay away from my LEGO for that long ( ), so I brought with be 5 minifigures and photographed them where I went...lot's of pics here. There are explanations of each figure and where he is here: http://www.flickr.com/photos/sirnadroj/set...57606128895154/ I'd love to get to some Wild West MOCs soon, but I am swamped, so I can't promise anything. Thoughts, comments, etc welcomed and apprecaited. Quote
Corvus Posted July 13, 2008 Posted July 13, 2008 ARG! That's a good idea! I should've done that! Anyway, Good shots! I like the effect of the blurred background. What did your parents think of you bringing all the lego with you? Quote
SirNadroj Posted July 13, 2008 Author Posted July 13, 2008 ARG! That's a good idea! I should've done that! Anyway, Good shots! I like the effect of the blurred background. What did your parents think of you bringing all the lego with you? Thanks! They thought it was funny. Oh yeah, I took these pictures with you in mind: (non-LEGO related) California Condors at the Grand Canyon: This little kid got in my way, but I really love this picture Quote
Erdbeereis Posted July 13, 2008 Posted July 13, 2008 (edited) Great pictures! I should do that on my next trip... Those condors are amazing! That picture with the kid is really nice, very scenic. What sort of camera do you have? Mine doesn't take nice close-ups like that. Edited July 13, 2008 by Erdbeereis1 Quote
Corvus Posted July 13, 2008 Posted July 13, 2008 Yay! Condors! They're sissybirds, but they're just huge, aren't they? What kind of camera do you use? What millimeter lens do you have? I just got a 75-300 mm lens for mine- niiiiice. Quote
Zepher Posted July 13, 2008 Posted July 13, 2008 I've wanted to do that for sometime! It seems interesting, Mini-figs in the real world. Quote
Sandy Posted July 13, 2008 Posted July 13, 2008 Gorgeous photos, SirNadroj, simply gorgeous! I've never been to Arizona, let alone the USA, but those photos match the image in my head that I have of the place. And the minifigs compliment the scenery perfectly. Quote
SirNadroj Posted July 13, 2008 Author Posted July 13, 2008 Thanks very much! I use a regular Canon g9 Powershot; not an SLR. I didn't want to spend tons on a camera, and I think this one is the best one to get, without getting an SLR. Quote
JimBee Posted July 13, 2008 Posted July 13, 2008 Great pics, SirNadroj. Ive only touched down in Arizona, but its a pretty cool place. Hope you had fun! Quote
LuxorV Posted July 14, 2008 Posted July 14, 2008 Very nice pics, SirNadroj They seem so real, expecially those with the Indians! LuxorV Quote
Alldarker Posted July 14, 2008 Posted July 14, 2008 Oh, very well, photographed, and I actually think the child in the pictures creates an excellent composition for the photograph. I was in Arizona two months ago: I went to Sedona and Grand Canyon too, and both places were absolutely beautiful. And those Califormian Condors sure are hard to photograph! Quote
Squeaker Posted July 17, 2008 Posted July 17, 2008 I must resist the urge to say I drink your milkshake... there it went. LOVELY pictures. I the condors and kid picture. You should enter it in a competion or fair. By the way, all the minifigs I take on vacation don't usually come back... Quote
Athos Posted July 17, 2008 Posted July 17, 2008 Nice work. It looks like JT has some company out there now. Patrick's torso works very well with the beard. Where did those brown legs with the blue printing come from? Steve Quote
Scouty Posted July 17, 2008 Posted July 17, 2008 I love the U.S. General you have there... Great pictures as well! Quote
