The Belville sets are indeed overpriced, but they're probably Lego's best attempt at wooing the girl audience (I still hate the fact that TLC thinks they need separate "boy" themes and "girl" themes, but whatever). They're a very nice alternative to Barbie -- you get posable figures with realistic body proportions, plus some creativity and building aspects thrown in. I totally agree. I think they could do a boy and girl theme with a mix of system and belville parts. Im guessing they would sell as well and that would mean more useful parts for the rest of us. (those sets have more big pieces than the jack stone line) I'm not a 9 year old girl thought so I'm not sure I'm the right target audience for these. Quote
