In order to chose the right set that suits your needs, I created a tool that simply takes the rebrickable inventory and plots it as a histogram. Instead of explaining all the details, here's an example output for a Classic and a Creator set. Classic - 11033 - Creative Fantasy Universe Creator - 31132 - Viking Ship and the Midgard Serpent Since not all types and colors of bricks are as useful to others as they are for me, I will not write any recommendations or ratings of the sets. However, if you point out any interesting facts, I can add these to the individual graphs. Let me know if you are interested in such diagrams.
