Mistresspaige7120 Posted March 14, 2023 Posted March 14, 2023 (edited) Hi guys I’m working on my first MOC idea please let me know what you think? It’s going to be a magical mansion that is cozy and wacky. It also has a portal mirror (Like Dr Strange uses) that you can use to invite guests from other universes (Disney, Marvel, HP etc) to for a nice relaxing chat and cuppa. My Crossover vacation home. Here’s concept art. (Click on underline to send to imgur pic) Edited March 14, 2023 by Mistresspaige7120 Quote

First off, are you planning on making this minifigure scale? If you are, a giant mansion for your first MOC is pretty ambitious (not to mention that big MOCs like this usually end up being more expensive than you think!) Also, since it sounds like you’re planning on adding a full interior, I might also recommend leaving the back wall open or at least plan from the start how you can make it removable. Lastly, the modular system might be a tiny bit more trouble than it’s worth. Connecting things like furniture with minimal studs sort of like a lot of official sets do might be your best bet if you want to be able to easily move things around. Otherwise, baseplates and large plates supported by technic beams are always going to be stronger and more efficient. Looking forward to seeing how it turns out! Keep on posting progress pics! P.S. here’s one more tip since you’re new here: you can imbed images by just pasting their address directly into the body of your post. Quote
