Soon it's Valentine's Day so I was thinking what to make for my love. I love the Compact Companion Cube of Thomus Bean on Rebrickable and the Companion Cube on BrickLink from aDotInSpace.
The one of aDotInSpace is symmetrical but looks a bit too technical and uses bars in brick hole to keep it stable, the one of Thomus Bean looks nicer, but it has some gaps in the model.

With this MOC:

I try to join the best of both worlds; symetric 3x3x3 cube with no holes, good looks, stability and no bars needed to keep it stable.

Tested in real
And yes, it's build in real LEGO and played with to test and improve the stability, buildability and looks.

Costs
The model will cost about €7.50 to build from parts ordered on BrickLink.

Let's build this!
The building instructions in PDF are free.

On request I've added a second building instruction that does not contain the price of the bricks, so your loved one won't see the estimated costs of the product. It's the one called 'priceless'.

What's next?
Don't forget to look at my other models ☺

Re-use
If you re-use this mechanism in one of your models, I love to see it, so share a link to your model that reuses the mechanism in the comments in this topic. Thanks!
