JoKo Posted December 31, 2022 Posted December 31, 2022 Last day of 2022... It's about time for me to update my group B series started in May. Here is another Lancia which symbolise quite well the paroxysme and the end of Group B. It was one of the most extreme and dangerous rally car with a turbocharged/supercharged 1.8L 4cyl. 500Hp engine, 4WD and a rollcage made of cardboard or slightly better. Group B stopped after a deadly crash of a Lancia Delta S4. The model features: - 4WD with 3 differentials, lockable central diff - HOG + functional steering wheel (HOG at the back, the wastegate exhaust pipe) - Rear suspension (two possible holes to pin the shock absorber. Low for the shelf and high for the play - 4 cylinders inline engine - The doors and engine bay can be opened with closed retention - Detailed cockpit with seats, dashboard, radio, diff-lock lever. Some proportions are a little off but at this scale I think it is acceptable Quote
pow Posted February 16, 2023 Posted February 16, 2023 As i am totally into rally cars (and built one tiny 1/18 thing myself) i have to say that it is immediately recognizable as a Delta! Very well done with a lot of clever solutions. I have done the steering wheel connection on my tiny racer with a rocker arm rotating a gear which drives the wheel over another gear. Both are 8T by the way. Quote
MinusAndy Posted February 18, 2023 Posted February 18, 2023 Great model! Instantly recognisable and impressive features at that scale. Quote
