LOTR minifigs display?

I wanted to display my LOTR minifig collection in something other than a framed display. I came across this on etsy:

Any ideas on how to recreate a "gold" ring using existing lego pieces?

The largest brick-round-corner in pearl gold I could find is the 5x5x1 item no. 24599.

Beautiful ring!

I cannot help you directly, but there are countless tutorials on how to build a round tower. A ring is basically a segment of a tower, is it not? So tower techniques should work.
