Under the blazing sun, a group of tribal fighters waits for the gold shipment to pass. Their position is dug in and well camouflaged.

The captain leading the gold movement surveys the terrain from the turret of the antiquated tank he'd been allocated. Recent raids had proven the civilian contractors were incapable of defending the shipment and his unit had been called in. The tank's armour and 17-pounder gun gave him confidence that he would succeed. The tribal bandits didn't poses anything bigger than a heavy machine gun.

BOOM! The tribal forces detonate an improvised explosive device that disables the tank and kills the exposed captain.

Quickly, the camo netting is pulled off the recently acquired dual 40mm cannons. A PDSRE advisor operates the repurposed anti-aircraft weapon, shredding the lightly armoured IFV bringing up the rear of the convoy. Simultaneously, the other fighters open fire, eliminating all threats before they react.

Black smoke billows out the ruined IFV as the tribal forces move forward to secure the cargo of gold. By limiting their fire against the lorry, they are able to drive it off while their team salvages anything they can from the battlefield.

Yes, they moved the cannon out too.

Nice build. The terrain looks great, so do the IFV and the truck. I know it says that the tank is antiquated, but a 17-pounder gun? I am assuming you mean the Ordnance QF 17-pounder, that tank would be impossible to aim. When using the 17-pounder in tanks, like the Firefly, they had to put some weight on the back of the turret to even use the thing. But I should stop applying historical information to lego builds. The tank looks good for what it's supposed to be. Great one overall.

Danke. Yes, it would be the QF 17- pounder. I know the 6-pounder was inadequate for WW II armoured vehicles, but the Firefly was equipped with the 17-pounder. I wasn't aware of the shortcomings of the gun, but given the hull design and age of this tank, maybe it's the design they found out they needed more weight on the turret.

You earned 20 bucks.

I believe the tribal forces stole those 20 Brick Bucks. They will further their efforts mightily with their questionably gotten gains!
