Brainbox Posted July 14, 2008 Posted July 14, 2008 Yes, this one. There is a MOC ? I haven't seen one. But I'd imagine you could use the basic design of the Mach 6 as a start. Quote
Courleciel Posted July 15, 2008 Author Posted July 15, 2008 Do you have an idea to add a part for improve the wheels ? Specially for add this pieces (in "M"). Quote
Brainbox Posted July 17, 2008 Posted July 17, 2008 Do you have an idea to add a part for improve the wheels ?Specially for add this pieces (in "M"). You wouldn't have the 'M', but I guess the obvious solution would be the new hubcaps. You could possibly choose a tyre that's wider in the middle (they won't fit otherwise) and use one of these and one of these on the end of the axle, with another custom decal. Quote

Yes, it's a good idea but the custom decal on the part will turn with the wheels. They must be fixed. Quote
Courleciel Posted July 18, 2008 Author Posted July 18, 2008 (edited) An other idea. We can change the "M" in custom decal by this part (in DkStone) here But now, we must know how install this part without it turn with the wheel. Edited July 18, 2008 by Courleciel Quote

I suppose you could try using these or something similar, connecting them to the body on each side of the wheel. The wheel would then be encased inside the 'M'. Quote
Courleciel Posted July 18, 2008 Author Posted July 18, 2008 Very very very goood idea. I will receipt the Mach 6 Monday, and I will test immediatly. Thanks. Quote
Courleciel Posted July 18, 2008 Author Posted July 18, 2008 Ehhhh, where do I install thid part on the car ? It's very hard. Quote
Brainbox Posted July 18, 2008 Posted July 18, 2008 Ehhhh, where do I install thid part on the car ? It's very hard. The clip brackets? You could use some SNOT pieces like the washing machine brick or something. Not having the car makes it difficult for me to recommend anything as I can't test it, but I think that should work somehow. Quote

Courleciel Posted July 18, 2008 Author Posted July 18, 2008 (edited) Ok, I see that it is (after a google search). Why use this pieces ? And how ? It's right that it's hard to propose if we don't have the model. Edited July 18, 2008 by Courleciel Quote

Looking at some pictures, I can see what you mean. I was thinking you could use either this or this to connect the clips. But I see that could be difficult with the wheel arches. Hmm... I don't really know. How about this with both the afforementioned? BTW, I'm quite happy to help and I can't wait to see the finished result. Quote
Courleciel Posted July 18, 2008 Author Posted July 18, 2008 (edited) You can see the instructions here. It will be impossible. Edited July 18, 2008 by Courleciel Quote
Courleciel Posted July 19, 2008 Author Posted July 19, 2008 After long relection, I think that the best is to put the part directly on the wheel. But the problem now, it's to not do turn the piece with the wheels. Quote
Brainbox Posted July 20, 2008 Posted July 20, 2008 You can see the instructions here. It will be impossible. You know what, that's not a bad ide. If I get a moment later, I might build a rough mock-up from the instructions so I can visualise it better. After long relection, I think that the best is to put the part directly on the wheel. But the problem now, it's to not do turn the piece with the wheels. I don't know. The thing is, even if you make it free-turning, and not attached 'solidly' to the wheel axle, it's still going to trun with the wheel because of friction and all that. I suppose the other option is just to use TLCs hubcap piece. It won't have the 'M' but it'll save a lot of trouble! Quote

Courleciel Posted July 21, 2008 Author Posted July 21, 2008 I always wait the reception of the Mach 6 yet. Maybe one little week. Quote
