evancelt Posted July 26, 2022 Posted July 26, 2022 Having returned from his reconnaissance mission to observe the siege of Seawatch, Major Brickleton arrives back at the outskirts of Fort Arltrees. While most of the Corlander forces in the New Haven Sea are not in the Oleonese port city, there is a small contingent interfacing with the bluecoat forces. ---------- OOC: Just a small build to see what digital building in Stud.io is all about! Was pretty fun to use, and no disassembly required when it's done! I tried not to use too many crazy colors (I did use 1x2 olive tiles which are official but hard to come by! And 1x1 corner tiles in olive, which I don't think exist yet). Quote
Capt Wolf Posted July 26, 2022 Posted July 26, 2022 Nice job getting the feel of war-torn terrain with the stripped trees and such. And that road looks muddy! Well done. Quote
NOD Posted July 26, 2022 Posted July 26, 2022 Very well done! I would not have recognized that it was Stud.io just by looking at the photo. Just as you build with real bricks, you also built digitally. The landscape is very well built, but it looks a little bleak and sad. It would be even better with palms or trees. You will have noticed that positioning the minifigures is much more difficult. I am very happy that a very good Lego builder has built a digital build. With digital building you have infinite bricks. But it's not that simple, there are other difficulties and challenges. Quote
Jeff of Clubs Posted July 26, 2022 Posted July 26, 2022 Look at you trying something new. Again. . Well done and welcome back, sir! There are some officers from Oleon waiting, who have been wringing their hats in anticipation. Swank work! Good to see your style carries over nicely! Quote
Thomas Waagenaar Posted July 27, 2022 Posted July 27, 2022 Looking good! Digital building definitely is a massively different process, but that didn't seem to impact you much in the end! ^^ Quote
Captain Braunsfeld Posted August 3, 2022 Posted August 3, 2022 Fine build, looked like real bricks to me Quote
