Dutch Thriceman Posted July 23, 2022 Posted July 23, 2022 (edited) After a Meteorite Impact in 2142 caused a massive population whipeout and brought with it a rare new energy source scattered across the planet, scientists developed mechanized humanoid machines dubbed AMF or Armored Mobile Frames. Purposed for either construction, exploration or military use in this new world. The Fennek or Desert Fox is an older military model repurposed by a local Warlord. - That was roughly the lore I came up with after feeling inspired to do some mecha building about a year ago now. This diorama and mech have just been laying around in a box unfinished like many of my older concepts and projects. I'm still not happy with the build but decided to post it as is because I want to scrap it for parts and didn't feel inspired to continue working on it any further. The only change I made was adding one of those new absolutely sick looking minifig helmets from the Buzz sets to the Exo-Suit minifig. Credit to the legendary Lu Sim for the frame, the design itself is inspired by the JoyToy Steel Mecha model line. Edited July 23, 2022 by Dutch Thriceman Quote
Peppermint_M Posted July 24, 2022 Posted July 24, 2022 Very tasty mecha there, (in the long long ago, the M in my username was Mecha) the head is neatly done. The diorama as a whole gives a good feel for a post-apocalypse world. Thanks for sharing it before you scrapped the build! I know that feeling of "nope, not good enough/worth it" but it is a cool creation. Quote
Feuer Zug Posted July 25, 2022 Posted July 25, 2022 Sweet mech. Good proportions and color scheme. Including an opening cockpit really makes this a nice design. I'm not sure about the yuppie piloting it though. Quote

Haha, he is probably an anime protagonist who commandeered the mech at some point Quote
