Dragonator Posted July 17, 2008 Author Posted July 17, 2008 yeah and notice who posted before him well, so far i have loved this game, thanks Dragonator for the game and its great detail. im happy to hear your traveling, i hope you enjoy the break and come back with some interesting ideas... also if i may ask are you traveling around the beautiful NZ if so what sights are you visiting... i must fly over some time and see the rock pools, in the volcanic region!! Thanks Blocky. I'm not going on a big trip or anything, I've done that many a time all ready around NZ. I used to live up in Rotorua (where the mud pools/volcanic activity is), it is a great tourist destination, so you should definitely visit some time. NZ is a truly beautiful place, although it takes a couple of overseas trips before one such as me realises it. On to where I'm going, I'm hopping across the Cook Strait (which is a channel of water dividing the North Island from the South Island), where I will visit my lovely grandparents for a few days (they have a computer, so I might be able to check in on the game then ), before I head off west about 100km or so to Nelson, where I will be playing with my Pipe Band in a competition. Lots of fun! My big trip for the year is latter, when I'll be visiting Melbourne in late September for a few weeks. That will be a lot of fun, as I haven't been to Melbourne since I was 7, and so don't remember that much. I'm also hoping there might be some sets available there that I can't get in NZ, so we'll see... Quote

Admiral Blockbeard Posted July 18, 2008 Posted July 18, 2008 Thanks for the rudeness. Dovechenko, Sorry if you took what i said in a hurtful way, I truely never intended it to be that way. I was just noting the two least posters had both posted instead of just AgentRick57. Please except my apology, i felt really bad and sad, that what i had said might have offended you. may i ask what your name means, it has made me inquisitive since i saw it change but never asked..? Dragonator, wow sounds like fun... I have not been to Melbourne, yet i have been to most other states of Australia... most bricklink stores from Australia are either from NSW or VIC... so i would assume they have a good range of Lego available Quote
AgentRick Posted July 18, 2008 Posted July 18, 2008 My bad. Lately I've been away from my laptop so I can't post that often. Plus I was excited for the extension so I'd have some time to build when I get home(Sunday). I'm still mourning the death of my late husband, if you must know. Quote

Dragonator, wow sounds like fun... I have not been to Melbourne, yet i have been to most other states of Australia... most bricklink stores from Australia are either from NSW or VIC... so i would assume they have a good range of Lego available I think I should shut my mouth. I guess I was least-posters... probably ten posts over the whole thing. Just a sideline character, and maybe I was pretty harsh to scoff at you like some big snob. BTW, Dovchenko is a minor character from Indiana Jones and the Kingdom of the Crystal Skull. He is a Colonel for the Soviets. He was dragged along with Irina Spalko to the USA on a secretive, spy-like mission, him being so high in command. Unfortunately in their wild trek through South America, they encounter some Siafu (army ants) and by using the "mind controlling" powers of the crystal skull, a character manages to keep the flesh-eating ants away from Indy and Dovchenko (they begin to fist-fight). Dovchenko is far stronger than Indiana Jones and though not as quick, both of them are fairly smart in their own way. Well Indy is knocked down and the ants are swarming around the two like a boxing ring- as the bloody mouthed Colonel approaches Indy to get him once and for all, Indy whips up with a log, constantly bashing him over the head with it. It shows him shaking violently, his mouth soaked with blood as they stare at each other. Dovchenko looks up to find him in the swarm of army ants (disturbed... meaning they were looking for flesh) and they begin to swarm over his body. It shows his face screaming as they climb into his mouth and he screams in pain as his body is pulled deep into the ant hills. Something deep inside made me feel bad for the character... he wasn't innocent but honestly he hadn't done much and was just dragged along for the ride of his life... well whatever it was. I wish he had some more depth, so I decided to get a name change in his honour. Weird... but seriously, does no one else feel bad for Colonel Antonin Dovchenko?! And how fair was it to beat his head with a log?! Yeah, I changed it from sdpirate. The first two letters are my sylables, the "pirate" being my previous favourite theme. I like it, but not as much as other things. I was worried it might come up in google searches and besides... I wanted less personal and more characterized name. Quote
I Scream Clone Posted July 18, 2008 Posted July 18, 2008 To Dovchenko and Agentrick57 it would have been cool if you guys had more time to post on Mystery Castle, but none of us means you any ill will, we all just enjoy the game a lot and want everyone to enjoy it as well Im glad you guys will post some MC mocs too, looking forward to them. Hope you have a good trip Dragonator visiting the relos, and then also when you head to Aussie land, home of Pegleg and myself (and many other EBers, as im sure you are aware) I still hold out hope of posting an entry, but my Evil wizard Moc is taking a lot of time to complete..... Inertia Posted July 18, 2008 Posted July 18, 2008 (edited) I would enter, but like I Scream Clone, one of my projects is soaking up time... And Castle pieces You'd like it Dragonator, It involves the Air Marshals, but I'm having to get decals to flesh out the army, as a DM soldier costs $15 dollars each at my local Retailer Love the entries so far though, Edited July 18, 2008 by Inertia Quote

Just go on Bricklink and you can get them for 2-3 USD each! That's how I'm doing my army building. Your project sounds great, I look forward to when it is completed! Quote

Adam Posted July 19, 2008 Posted July 19, 2008 I have to get on Bricklink! SavatheAggie made this great Torso: I think it's Air Marshal all over EDIT: here it is on a minifigure That's a good looking Air Marshal! I've just finished my vig (if you could call it that, it's so tall ), and I'm attempting to take pictures. Note the word 'attempt'. The thing's so gigantic (it's still on a 8x8 base) that it falls over whenever I put it together, and I stink at taking pictures. On the whole it doesn't look impressive, but each little part has it's own story (well, sort of). No, I'm not giving anything away, but just know that it has badly put on decals provided by Cpt. PB and LuxorV (thanks a ton!). Quote

Lemme know what you get up to. @The mods/Admins who think I'm going off topic - Er... Well, 7 days left. That's good, I was hoping for more time, and I got it! I haven't got anything done in bricks yet, but I do have a very sneaky plan that I drew up on a piece of paper. I've entitled it; "The Chef's Demise". ~Peace Quote

Looking forward to the rest of the entries as well! Yes, everyone should attempt to post a vignette, though it may be difficult to get one together in two days. It sure was for me, since I've been using all of my grey and bley pieces for a MOC I'm working on, and just threw a vig together this morning, took pictures, and am uploading them now. Quote
Dragonator Posted July 27, 2008 Author Posted July 27, 2008 Right everyone, thanks for all your entries so far! This is just a quick reminder that you have only 6 hours left before the entries close. So get them in now! I'll post the voting thread not long after, which will stay open for one week. Unfortunately I'm a sick little dragon today, having got food poisoning from chicken (it's got some long name that I can't spell, so I won't try ), which has left me severely ill. Because of this, I'm not going to be able to do any fancy little thumbnails with a picture of each competitors entry, simply because I really don't feel like it. Instead I'll just link to the entries thread. If some other kind soul would like to make the thunbnails however, then I would be very grateful. Well, enough from me, hopefully I'll be able to get Day 9 up today, but if I'm not feeling up to it then it will definitely be tomorrow. Thanks for your understanding everyone. Quote

I must be getting senile in my old age . Sorry you're sick, Dragonator. I hope you can give a link to my gallery too, because, as I said, the pictures don't do my vig justice and I have some better ones in the gallery. We don't need any thumbnails, not many of the votes I've seen lately do. Get well soon! Quote
MagPiesRUs Posted July 27, 2008 Posted July 27, 2008 Entry posted! I really threw this one together at the very last moment, so go easy on me. Sorry to hear that you're sick, Dragonator, I hope you get better soon. Quote
WhiteFang Posted July 27, 2008 Posted July 27, 2008 Dragonator, welcome back! I am sorry to hear that you had fallen sick. Recover soon, and may you rise to be the mighty dragon again! Will be looking forward to Day 9, and the voting as well! Quote
Inertia Posted July 28, 2008 Posted July 28, 2008 Dragonator, sad to hear that you're sick, I can't wait for Day 9 to be up so I can read the entry at the start, humorous little things... I think that the Royal knights have tried to knock you off... It would be just like them to place poison in ones food... Get well soon mate! Quote
Trexxen Posted July 28, 2008 Posted July 28, 2008 Sorry to hear you're sick, Dragonator - I myself have been slightly unwell these past few days, though it was mainly due to the drinking of a mystical weight loss potion (read: I tried a diet drink because there was nothing to eat lol)...didn't end up well, but I guess I must have lost some weight. I hope you are well soon, my friend - it just isn't the H&A forum without you! ~Trexxen Quote
