Feuer Zug Posted June 13, 2022 Posted June 13, 2022 (edited) Recently, the nation of Tosul conducted testing of a new class of ICBM. Due to various weather conditions and active measures, the location of the ICBM launch was a mystery. An agent was inserted into Tosul to ascertain the location of the facility. While investigating the region of the launch, the agent hears rumors of another upcoming test. A convoy of vehicles, including one with a new type of missile passes near the town. Knowing the local terrain, the agent hops on his motorbike and gets to a position that he feels will allow him to place a tracker. As dusk approaches, the truck hauling another ICBM to the launch site slows to cross a narrow, wet bridge that is weight limited. Hidden by the spray from the waterfall, the agent pulls himself up to the road, unseen by the cold, bored, and complacent guards. Rolling under the crawling trailer, he plants a Brick Positioning System tracking beacon. His task complete, the glorious agent dives into the cold river and makes his escape unseen. Seven hours later, the tracker on the trailer halts for a few hours before dawn. The agent notes the location, then watches as the tracker retraces its route back through the mountains. Shivering in the cold, he observes the empty trailer pass his position and smiles. The stop was where they unloaded the ICBM. He's got the location of the missile facility. From a satellite phone, he calls a dead drop number and leaves the coordinates. Thanks to a cunning agent of PDSRE, the KLR had determined the coordinates of the launch site.
