:-D ok, i wont bother then. thanks.

To be a little more thorough, the selection is always sparse and random. They have an illogical selection of basic bricks and then specialty elements that have no ryhme or reason. Sometimes, they are all tires and trees, flowers, odd roof pieces, fences and tiles. Other times there are some cool things like light bley 1 x 4 x 5 windows, but that is rare. The regular offering is completely random. There may be old red fences and 1 x 2 red tiles, red flowers, little pine trees, black inverted slopes, but nothing is ever great...it's very sad :'-(

I've always viewed Lego stores as fairly good. Much better than buying from Fred Meyer, for example. I've gotten into fairly good converstations with the employees, as well. For example, during my last trip, I talked about the SW battle packs. He knew quite a lot about them, and almost told me about some new sets. X-D This was is in the Seattle store, too.

@Hinckley: Is the selection of Star Wars sets in the Chicago stores any good (namely the TIE Crawler)? I may be going there in a few weeks.

I haven't been to a LEGO brand store since the Crawler's release. However, I did see that it is on sale at Target this week. I don't remember the exact price, but it was near $4 off... :-)

The Downtown Chicago and Woodfield staff are incredibly knowledgeable about their stock, calling them would answer your question. The Northbrook kids may get lost on their way back to the phone... :-P
