CrappyMocMaker Posted May 28, 2022 Posted May 28, 2022 Here's another Rogue One vignette for you all! I used roller skates for the AT-ACT's ankle joints, which I think turned out pretty well. I tried to make it look like some of the feet were submerged and that turned out... less well. I think the explosion with the red chi crystal and the orange geode isn't mine, but I forget where exactly I got it from. It's kind of hard to see, but there's a layer of trans clear tiles on the water. I couldn't find the exact moment I depicted, but here's a picture of the scene: Quote
Mandalorianknight Posted May 31, 2022 Posted May 31, 2022 (edited) I love it! Those AT-ACT and U-wing models could be their own polybag sets, and the ion shot is replicated very well. You've also got the clear part holding up the U-wing placed well. Having it on top of the tree provides a visual distraction when looking at it that makes it less obvious than just placing a clear part on the tan plate. Not a huge fan of the base using those 1x1 alphabet tiles, but it's pretty cool overall. Fun fact: You can use the "part designer" official extension to stud.io to put printing onto tiles. Unfortunately, the alphabet tiles must stay, because they're the only complete alphabet in Mecabricks, which is the website I'm using. I'm considering switching to stud.io, but I like the convenience of being able to share the design as a url without having to have people download stl files. correction: Mecabricks doesn't have mon calamari heads, so stud.io it is! Ah. I don't know if stud.io has mon cala heads either, but on the bright side, you can easily add LDD parts to stud.io, which I've done for a ton of parts. Quote
