Once upon a time there was a fine set with a monkey:

Here is my new impression of it:

I am probably going to reuse this for some storyline in the BoBS subforum - some time later.

The set looks good because there are few useless parts. 2 pirates, monkey, parrot, cannon, palm tree, treasure chest with doubloons and a palm tree. All of this can be put to good use.

A simple remake of a simple set.  I've said elsewhere, this was one of the three small sets that started me in Lego.  Somebody did a complex re-do recently that I loved.  This one is far more simple, and I love it too :-)

Nicely done. You've upgraded the look, yet still retain the feel of the original set.

Thanks. Yes, I would buy the old set again if it would come up!

Thanks - and I agree. It is really a simple set. They just don't do them anymore these days. No monkeys....

 well, as the others have said: it is a simple set.  Something that should go out for 10 bucks. But I fear they would make it 25 bucks....
