Tanuki-San is a little character I created ~ he is a Tanuki (Raccoon-Dog). Yup, they are real animals! But in my Chibi-esque style, he's got a HUGE tail, and long, ski-like feet. Don't ask.

Need to get some decals made, though. Also, the ears and bulk of the faces (triangular portions) will probably be made of modified palm leaves (If I can find good, matching paint! ;-)

Suggestions are greatly apprecaited! Thanks!

Another one who is interested in the Japanese culture! Where are the big balls?

I like it, but the head has to be different, maybe with some clay (or something like that), but the option with palm leaves looks interesting. The tail is also really awesome, are you going to paint it with black stripes? A animal in a minifigure format, I hope it works out. I'm really looking forward to the result.

O, have you seen this film: http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Pom_Poko ;)

I have a suggestion - could you use ears from the werewolf head? I think it might be easier to make, plus there is more suface for gluing and a better "ear-like" shape. I read in another forum that Warhammer paint works well on plastics and there are lots of colors, too.

I'm not gonna go there.

Yeah, I'll think of something for black rings on the tail. Not paint, though. I hate paint. Maybe a thin black tape...

Pompoko? Never heard of it! Thanks very much for the link - I'll go check it out!

I was thinking the same thing. However, it may be too big. I'll have to dig it up out of a bucket and see... Warhammer paint, huh? I've heard of that too, just don't know where to buy it...

Thanks very much for the feedback thus far! :classic:
