Dusting off the 6990 Monorail

Hello All, 

I have secured from my parents my 6990 Monorail hidden away for years and have successfully secured the missing parts via bricklink.

I'm hoping to upgrade it a bit for my boys, there are some new sets that seem to compliment it nicely. The new Lunar Research lab, for example. 

Just curious if anyone else out there has any ideas / or point me to some MOC's that expand the monorail system a bit, such as a mining setup for the monorail to move ore

to a launcher, for example. trying to get a little inspiration from fellow builders.
