julencin2000 Posted August 8, 2008 Posted August 8, 2008 Just ordered mine. It'll be a birthday gift [surprisingly, the release date is my birthday! ]But those shipping charges make me sick. How much? Quote
Holodoc Posted August 8, 2008 Posted August 8, 2008 It looks like it worked out to cancel the order of the normal version and "upgrade" it to the premium edition! I would have prefered a golden brick without the engraving though, but the minifig is very nice and I have a use for the 1x8 brick as well. 3 days to go! captaintau Posted August 8, 2008 Posted August 8, 2008 it seems there is a limit and they will not publish more then 3333 copies. Furthermore I just received an e-mail today that the releasedate is the 11th of august, maybe there are still some copies left, if you want them check out the website of the publisher here: I had the same e-mail, except that mine said that there were 3.333 copies being made. What? 3 and third? I eagerly anticipate mine. I'm going to use it to create a list of all the sets I've ever owned. It might surpise some of you city/space/pirate/castle fans just how diverse I was before my dark ages. Me being Mr Star Wars and all. Quote

Svelte Posted August 9, 2008 Posted August 9, 2008 I had a shipping notification about a day ago, so they're on their way. Nice little exclusives. I love that torso! Quote
voltio Posted August 10, 2008 Posted August 10, 2008 "Lego Fan 1958-2008" Well, he had a good life. RIP :skull: Sorry for my offbeat attempt at a joke, but this (excellent) promo reminded me of a gravestone a little bit. I'd still love to purchase one though. Quote
Johnny 5 Posted August 10, 2008 Posted August 10, 2008 Just ordered mine, the premium edition came out to be about $113 in dollars, worth every penny. Quote

Dovchenko Posted August 16, 2008 Posted August 16, 2008 No offence but I see Brickset, Brickshelf, Lugnet and Peeron as "Premium Guides". Quote
paul_delahaye Posted August 16, 2008 Posted August 16, 2008 Ordered mine earlier this week online and paid the high shipping charges and it arrived, However I'm a bit annoyed, just returned from the Lego shop Bluewater and they had about 15 of them on the shelf (Premium Edition) for £29.99 GBP So picked up another, now have number 85 as well. simonwillems Posted August 16, 2008 Posted August 16, 2008 No offence but I see Brickset, Brickshelf, Lugnet and Peeron as "Premium Guides". I look at it this way: those databases won't be around forever (remember Brickshelf's closing down announcement some time ago, although cancelled). In a few hundred years people can still read this book... But main reason for buying: It looks good on the shelf and is nice to have! Quote
