Tórshavn is the capital and largest city of the Faroe Islands.

Together with my mother Anne Mette, I have built this LEGO model of the old town in Tórshavn. The model is built in scale 1:125. It is one of the largest LEGO models we have built. It is 3.15 meters long and 1.15 meters wide.

We built it for the LEGO exhibition in the shopping center SMS in Tórshavn, which was held 11 - 23 October 2021.

Here is a photo from Google that shows what it looks like in real life:

Tórshavn Cathedral is built in 1788. The cathedral lies in the north of the peninsula of Tinganes and is one of the main attractions of the town. Like most churches of the country it belongs to the Evangelical-Lutheran national church of the Faroe Islands. Since 1990, it has been the seat of the Bishop of the Faroes and is therefore known as a cathedral:

Tinganes is the historic location of the Faroese government. The name means "parliament point" in Faroese. The parliament met there for the first time in the Viking ages when Norwegian colonists placed their Ting (parliament) on the location in 825. It is one of the oldest parliamentary meeting places in the world. Many of the houses on Tinganes were built in the 16th and 17th centuries and are still in use today:

The meticulous accuracy you've build here is incredible. It's model train level of detail. What a remarkable joy to look at; the time, effort and patience this must have required is amazing. Fantastic creation you two!

You and your mother nailed recreating the town. The size of your diorama is insane, and yet you still matched it with the real world. Brick On!
