Hey Eurobricks! Long time lurker, first time poster...

This is a minifig-scale model of the CH-53K King Stallion, one of the largest helicopters ever produced. I've been working on it on and off since late 2015, but only finally got the power functions and final details finished off recently. There's a full album of photos on Flickr and Instagram!

The model has quite a few working features:

  • fits 47 minifigs inside (4 crew + 43 passengers)
  • fully spinning and functioning rotors, run by a Small Power Functions motor and IR Remote Control [ video is on Flickr, it won't let me embed it here :( ]
  • retractable landing gear
  • the main rotors fold up, like the real aircraft
  • opening and closing crew hatches and cargo ramps

Thanks for looking!

Wow, Legosim, this is a great build of the CH-53K King Stallion 🫡👍. You mentioned it fits 47 minifigs (4+43) but I think it's 34 (4+30 or 24x casualty litters). Nevertheless a stunning helicopter!

Are, by chance, building instructions available for this masterpiece?

Hi Vilebricker, thanks for the kind words! The real life CH-53K only fits 30 passengers in the back usually, but the Lego model fits more minifigs than that if you cram them in close. :)

Unfortunately, there are no instructions available, the model is just too big for that.
