EDIT by imperialshadows: Do we look like a custom thread title service here? EDIT: Thank you! Edited June 25, 2008 by sir dano Quote
Tom_castlefan Posted June 22, 2008 Posted June 22, 2008 I think it looks nice. I particularly like the staircases at the back, and also think the use of tan is well done. Also, the different levels add to the level of detail. Very nice overall. I think you should however use a camera as opposed to a webcam, to do the creation more justice. Tom Quote
Sir Dano Posted June 22, 2008 Author Posted June 22, 2008 Thanks for the reply. the use of tan is well done. It's actually gold. I think you should however use a camera as opposed to a webcam, to do the creation more justice. I would if I could afford one, but this webcam was given to me for free, so it's what I'll be using. Tom_castlefan Posted June 22, 2008 Posted June 22, 2008 I actually toyed between saying use of tan or use of gold, and then I decided on tan. Bad call, huh? Anyway, still a good model Quote
Sir Dano Posted June 23, 2008 Author Posted June 23, 2008 Anyway, still a good model Thanks. Here's a small update. Quote
Admiral Blockbeard Posted June 23, 2008 Posted June 23, 2008 i like this wall segment, i must be honest though, originally i did not follow the links and kinda yawned, not zts its design but just at the lack of interesting features, but then i followed the links and wow you have done a whole back section to it, and many many interesting features! also is the only update the fact it is taller, or have you added to the back as well? now i am simply in love with this wall! you have inspired me to go on LDD, (if only i could get it to work again) and design one that you could buy multiple copies of! my CC would be, hmm, well seeing as you begged, it already looks good, to improve it maybe add some arches to the sticking out section of the wall at the top then a 1x2 with the gold slope part, hope that made sence... (if not, i will post i drawn picture of what i mean)... WAIT no another idea add one of those tecnic bits... one of these to the wall.... Sorry i did not follow the links earier, i will be sure to not skip over your future creations! regards, Cpt. PB Quote

It's a brick taller and I also changed the window design a bit. my CC would be, hmm, well seeing as you begged, it already looks good, to improve it maybe add some arches to the sticking out section of the wall at the top then a 1x2 with the gold slope part, hope that made sense... (if not, i will post i drawn picture of what i mean)... I'm pretty sure I understand what you're saying, I'll give it a try and see if I like it or not. WAIT no another idea add one of those technic bits... one of these to the wall.... That's a great idea, but I don't have any of those pieces in bley that aren't currently being used in other things. Sorry i did not follow the links earlier, i will be sure to not skip over your future creations! That's all right, maybe you saying that will get other people to click. Thanks for the feedback, guys. Sir Dano Posted June 25, 2008 Author Posted June 25, 2008 Whoops, now I see why no one else has commented, I rearranged my B-Shelf folders and forgot to change the links. It's all fixed now. Quote
I Scream Clone Posted June 25, 2008 Posted June 25, 2008 Nice work, though i think i would like to see the windows one brick higher to draw the eye up from the slopes and towards the arch more. Just a personal preference though, i do really like what you have done so far. Quote
Sir Dano Posted June 25, 2008 Author Posted June 25, 2008 Thanks for the comments, I'll be posting the final version along with a corner tower and battle scene later today or tomorrow. Quote
