What happened to original trilogy sets?

Does LEGO intend to only make the kingdom of the crystal skull sets now?

Just wondering because there are a lot of good scenes that could be made into great LEGO sets.

I know what you mean. It's a shame that only one set was made from The Last Crusade, and none from Temple Of Doom!

What Oswald said basically. This is the first year of the liscence with the new movie was released.

It was the same with the star wars line mainly episode 1 sets and they missed RotJ in the first OT release i think

They very first Star Wars sets were the Xwing, Ywing and Darth Vaders Advanced Tie, the snowspeeder, Lukes Land Speeder, and the Endor Speeder Bikes

yep, there's no way that these already were all indiana jones sets we'll ever get. I think the line will be continued in 2009, as far as i remember there hasn't been any license line from lego that lasted for just one year.

I think Raiders of the Lost Ark was the best one, so I am glad they made a lot of sets from it. Temple of Doom does have a lot of possibilities, and so does The Last Crusade.

I think the only reason we didn't get any original trilogy sets in the new batch was because of the new movie, it's natural for them to capitalise on the marketing. I'm sure over the next batches we'll see both OT and KOTCS sets

I think it has been announced recently that the Indy range will be continuous, at least til next year. I for one am pleased about this as I am loving Indy at the mo.

the only LEGO line that lasted a year or two was the ninja one, a shame too. anyways, TLG is just making it all KOTCS right now because the movie just came out and theres a lot of hype about it, and not the old movies. Im sure they will make more ROTLA and TLC sets in the future, but probably not TOD because TLG said it was "too dark". My a**. well, heres to hoping!

Mmmh, unfortunately I think Lego Indiana Jones sets are going to disappear really soon. Maybe we'll have new sets next year but no longer... The simple reason is Indiana Jones won't be a general interesting as it have been recently with the new movie and the video-game.

Take the example of SW sets: TLC doesn't produce new sets from Episodes I or II and after the new Clone Wars movie they'll probably disappear soon.

Anyway it will be wonderful to see classic IJ sets like the ceremony to Shiva, maybe the persecution in Shanghai or the Grail's Temple!!!
