Klaus-Dieter Posted June 19, 2008 Posted June 19, 2008 Hello everybody! Here's my seventh part of my "Wild West minifig show": Simple Town People These are four "simple" Western town people: a shopman, a saloon keeper, a lumberjack and a cowboy. The two printed torsos (of the lumberjack and the saloon keeper) were designed by tyger and Apache. Comments are welcome! Klaus-Dieter Quote
Athos Posted June 19, 2008 Posted June 19, 2008 I'm not much for printed/custom torsos. The Kilroy torso works well though, as does the flannel shirt. Though I think you need some variation in the faces, across all your series. Steve Quote
Klaus-Dieter Posted June 19, 2008 Author Posted June 19, 2008 Thank you very much for your comment, Athos! Steve I'm not for printed/custom torsos, too. But these torsos were are excellent designed - so I thought: Why not using them ?! I thought about more face differences, too. But I personally like the classic faces very much. And when you give nearly everybody the same face it isn't that bad I think. I see the problem with if you want to give every minfig a different face - how to do that? And when you give many minfigs heads with non-classic faces it looks mostly . The classic faces are in this regard better because they are nearly neutral and don't show specific facial features. And for minfigs which aren't the main characters I think it's not a very bad choice. Klaus-Dieter Quote
Athos Posted June 19, 2008 Posted June 19, 2008 I like the classic smileys too. I just think it looks a bit odd, when you have 3 classic smileys and 1 decorated face. What I really think looks funny, which I just thought of now, is mixing the pupiled eyes with non-pupiled eyes. Steve Quote

You can see them (perhaps - if the pics aren't too small) on the pics of "My Lego City" which I presented here on EB about 2-3 months ago - or you can view them in my BS gallery. (But don't look at the other Western minifigs I'm going to present you! - That would be !) I liked this combination. Klaus-Dieter Quote
