Umbra-Manis Posted November 1, 2021 Posted November 1, 2021 I don't have a fancy tagline or a cohesive theme for these figures, some of them have been sitting around as character drafts for years at this point though, so this was a great excuse to introduce them. Avalonia Aran of Albion Spoiler A respected third generation shopkeeper from the heart of Avalonia's Capital, Aran spends his days helping customers and carving new wooden implements for his shop. One such creation was his handy abacus. The Lady of The Forest Spoiler Little more than rumor out of the Mystic Isles, said to drift among the trees and through the mist Rasmus and His Elvish Bodyguard Spoiler The distinguished Lord Rasmus keeps himself well attended at all times by elvish bodyguards Mitgardia Om Glaciershade Spoiler Om Glaciershade spends his days in the harsh profession of Ice Harvesting and Transportation in the slopes of Mitgardia. Anvom, Mitgardian Houndmaster Spoiler The hounds of Mitgardia have many purposes, and those who train them are highly skilled craftspeople. Anvom is one such veteran houndmaster. Varlyrio Erkeanis, Jewel Merchant Spoiler Erkeanis is a longtime jeweler with a fondness for emeralds, but lately her shipments have been facing raids quite frequently Varlyrian Orc Raider Spoiler Jewel Caravans sure are easy targets Varlyrion Spelling Guard of Honor Spoiler Some older residents of the island guild aren't fond of the newer spelling of Varlyrian, with a distinct preference for the old Varlyrion. This fellow is one of them, often stamping over posters and documents with his trusty ink hammer. Kaliphin Mountain Mummy Hydro Mage Spoiler In the dry mountains of Kaliphin, a Hydro Mage is invaluable to the mountain mummies who reside there Small Time Charmer Spoiler This Small Time Charmer casts minor enchantments in the streets of Kaliphin, much to the entertainment of the small crowds he attracts Royal Falconer Spoiler Forever a loyal servant of the Desert King, the True Ruler of Kaliphin. Ready at a moment's notice with the chosen falcon. Nocturnus Tears of Eternal Silence Spoiler An assassin with very particular skills and an unknown origin. One single tear from either the face or the vial of the assassin will leave the victim not dead, but forever quiet upon contact with the skin. Scorched Harvester Spoiler The Scorched Ones appear on the lava plains surrounding volcanoes, harvesting unknown minerals from the solidified flows, and speaking to none Keymaster of the Skull Spoiler A mysterious figure who controls access to some hidden location, sacred to the cult of the skull Paladin of the Skull Spoiler A powerful caster within the cult of the skull, often deploying a mystical shield for safety. The skull will not be put into the earth. The skull will endure. Tank Demon Spoiler This demon of unusual stature towers above foes on his various hired jobs. Thanks for checking out all of the characters, these were a lot of fun to put together! Quote
Kai NRG Posted November 1, 2021 Posted November 1, 2021 Several super creative characters, the Hydro Mummy, the Spelling Guard of Honor, and the Paladin of the Skull especially caught my attention. Also love the Jewel merchant and the abacus. Oh, and the elvish bodyguard. It took me a few seconds to figure out who was who there. Quote
Aurore Posted November 2, 2021 Posted November 2, 2021 Excellent series! Very clever associations and character ideas. That abacus is really great, and I especially love the Forest Queen. Btw, may I ask what her hairpiece is? It looks gorgeous! Quote

Originally it was from this https://brickset.com/minifigs/sh500/proxima-midnight Marvel minifigure, but this ended up being one of the parts I used in a nonexistent color. Quote
Eyrezer Posted November 2, 2021 Posted November 2, 2021 Am I right in thinking the abacus uses “the One Ring” but recoloured? Quote
mrcp6d Posted November 2, 2021 Posted November 2, 2021 Gee-wiz, the rendering capability of the 3D Lego software has become incredible. I was working through these and thinking "oh, that's made in that color now? Sweet!" so often, and now I'm sad lol. My favorite fig here is the Mountain Hydro Mummy! What piece did you use for the head? The abacus is a really great design, makes me wish those One Rings existed in more than one color! Quote

Sorry about that lol, I tried to to keep the recolors to a minimum, but sometimes I just had to complete my vision for the character. The head is from this star wars minifigure: https://brickset.com/minifigs/sw0723/unkar-s-brute Quote
Robert8 Posted November 5, 2021 Posted November 5, 2021 Aran might be my favorite. Very original and well executed I also quite like Lady of the Forest, the Orc Raider and Tank Demon! Great collection of characters! Thanks for sharing Quote
Grover Posted November 5, 2021 Posted November 5, 2021 Wow! That's crazy it's a render and not a real build! Well done! The letter stamper is hilarious! My only suggestion would be to downsize the pics and then not hide them, as clicking on the spoilers to see them all got a little monotonous. Quote
jtooker Posted November 18, 2021 Posted November 18, 2021 The abacus is awesome! I like Anvom, Mitgardian Houndmaster but cannot pinpoint why. Mountain Mummy Hydro Mage is terrifying - well done! Great set of figs overall. Quote
Exetrius Posted December 30, 2021 Posted December 30, 2021 Seems like I never commented! Solid figures, and props for trying a digital figbarf, I think that's a first here in GoH! My favourite of the bunch has to be Aran of Albion too, love the abacus made with the LotR rings! Great technique for the Paladin of the Skull as well! Cheers, mate! Quote
