rriggs Posted June 17, 2008 Posted June 17, 2008 Inspired by my first Lego set (379 Bus Station) I decided to put all my car parts together to see how big a bus fleet I could build on the same scale/style as the bus in this bus station. Apart from fewer doors and modernised front ends I think you can see the resemblence. I even had enough uniformed (black legs, plain blue torso and white peaked cap) drivers for every bus but I never took photos of these There are slightly different designed (and taller!) executive coaches at the far left and an airport bus and school bus at the far right. I also converted the 6395 Grand Prix Racing Scene into quite a good bus station for the fleet to use too. I'll try and find photos of the conversion... Cheers Rog Quote
Lasse D Posted June 17, 2008 Posted June 17, 2008 That's a funny little experiment. Do you have any plans on building slightly different/modernized versions or perhaps all the buses built by LEGO? I can see some of those in the background look like the one I know from one of the old ideas book. It would be funny to see the evolution of buses. Quote
commanderbly42 Posted June 17, 2008 Posted June 17, 2008 Nice job! They look a bit cramped but still pretty cool. Quote
Stauder Posted June 19, 2008 Posted June 19, 2008 That is one hell of a bus fleet, great work! Now for you to build a town to match this impressive fleet Staudie. Quote
BillytheKid Posted June 29, 2008 Posted June 29, 2008 Indeed a very nice fleet of buses. When I saw the station, I remember I build one in green. Unfornatualy, I don't have a pic of my longer bus. As soon as I build my layout up and find the longer bus, I place a pic here. Quote
