IceMan Posted June 17, 2008 Posted June 17, 2008 So I finally got Arkham Asylum in the mail today and decided to make a Batman theme day by renting Batman Forever from the library. Let me tell you what - VHS is not good on the eyes and that movie is not good by any means. Let's get on to the meat and bones of this post - Arkham Asylum. Due to some interruptions by my best friend and girlfriend I haven't finished it yet but man what a pain this set is to build. The pain isn't coming from the instructions its coming from the fact that none of the bags are labeled. So being the genius I am I poured out all of the parts in the bag. What an idiot. lol. Anyway I finished up the Ambulance, Nightwing's Motorcycle, and the Guard Tower so far. Thats with about an hour and a half of work too. Also let me complain about how dark the instruction booklet is. It's very hard to tell whats what and what color is which. But enough with the complaining. This set is awesome so far and I'm not even half way done. I love the fact that Nightwing is included in this set because he is my favorite member of the Bat family. His cycle is a great touch as is the Ambulance and the guards. It's the little things in this set so far that are making it worth while. I'll keep you guys up to date on my progress and post some pictures when I'm done. I'll also throw out a simple question to you all - What mods have you made to the Arkham Asylum set or what have you added on? Thanks! Tyler Quote
BearHeart Posted June 17, 2008 Posted June 17, 2008 Well... I have two AA sets... one I bought at full price back when it came out and one i bought a few weeks ago at half price at my TRU. I put the first one together and the second one is still MISB... Im planning to build some mocs with it and add it to the first set to build a kinda spooky town together with some Harry Potter sets. Overall, i think its a great set... lots of great MOC pieces and minifig pieces that match the dark theme of Harry Potter... which I like. Quote
Batbrick Posted June 17, 2008 Posted June 17, 2008 I only modded the spotlight so far but I plan on the entire thing to turn it into a far bigger asylum, muhaha! :skull: I agree it is a fantastic set, so wonderful, I really wanted two... Are you a large fan of Batman Iceman? Batbrick Away! Quote
