FriedlS Posted September 28, 2021 Posted September 28, 2021 I started a new project: 4WD Drift Car 😊 steering design is a idea from @NoEXIST: Quote
MajklSpajkl Posted September 28, 2021 Posted September 28, 2021 Start is very promising, but are you sure about 4WD? Seems RWD at the moment. Quote
Gray Gear Posted September 29, 2021 Posted September 29, 2021 It looked rwd to me too! Can you show how the front wheels are driven? Must be a very compact system! Quote
FriedlS Posted September 29, 2021 Author Posted September 29, 2021 It is almost the same front axle like @NoEXIST shared on rebrickable: Quote

FriedlS Posted September 30, 2021 Author Posted September 30, 2021 It is very compact. But the steering angle is very limited. Btw, the mould king 2.4GHz rc components work pretty good 😊 Quote

FriedlS Posted October 3, 2021 Author Posted October 3, 2021 Thanks @NoEXIST!! Now i have to build a body, this will be the most difficult part for me 🙈 Quote

FriedlS Posted October 3, 2021 Author Posted October 3, 2021 Not really. A kind of a sedan like subaru… Quote
FriedlS Posted October 16, 2021 Author Posted October 16, 2021 After a long time, i made a little progress in building the body: Quote
Hrafn Posted October 16, 2021 Posted October 16, 2021 If - like me - you find bodywork a pain, you could always take your internals and wrap them in an existing model's body. Maybe Piterx' Lancia Stratos? https://p-lego.blogspot.com/2014/08/lancia-stratos-hf.html?m=1 Quote
2GodBDGlory Posted October 17, 2021 Posted October 17, 2021 How does that battery work for you? I'm kind of intrigued by it--especially why it has six leads per plug! Could some sort of sensor be coming to this PF-based platform? Quote
FriedlS Posted October 17, 2021 Author Posted October 17, 2021 It works very well, of course it hasen‘t got the power like BuWizz. But i love the proportional controller without using a cellphone! for this model i don‘t need 6 ports of course, but for my wheel loader (you can see it in my second trophy truck clip a few month ago) it is very helpful! 😊 Quote
FriedlS Posted October 24, 2021 Author Posted October 24, 2021 (edited) Now i finished my drift car: and i made a new clip: hope you like it 😊 Edited October 24, 2021 by FriedlS Quote
noahtheb Posted October 24, 2021 Posted October 24, 2021 Definitely gives me AE86 Trueno Sprinter vibes, and looks great! Quote

FriedlS Posted October 25, 2021 Author Posted October 25, 2021 Thank you very much! 😊 Levin vibes?? What is it? 🤔 Quote
Gray Gear Posted October 25, 2021 Posted October 25, 2021 @FriedlS Left: AE86 Trueno Right: AE86 Levin Basically the same car with a bit different design. Both were offered not only as a Hatchback but also like this: Quote

Daniel-99 Posted November 16, 2021 Posted November 16, 2021 Very nice! I haven't seen any 4WD drift cars on such small wheel! And what is the total weight of a finished model? Quote
FriedlS Posted November 16, 2021 Author Posted November 16, 2021 The weight is about 500g 😕 less weight would be better Quote
