I got the Mindstorm Robot Inventor about 10 months ago and it has been working fine until the recent update. When I went into the Mindstorm app on my phone it asked me to update the hub, I started the update and it went through just fine. But when I went into the app on my computer only a few hours later, it asked me to update the hub for the second time. So I started the update but this time it stopped at 11% and just closed the update. Ever since then my Mindstorm hub hasn't been working. First of all when I turn it on it doesn't make any sounds and the orange grid doesn't light up, none of the buttons do anything on the Mindstorm except for the bluetooth button which begins blinking blue like it always did. Also when I go into the app and try to connect to the hub via bluetooth, it isn't able to connect, and if I try to use a wired connection it asks me to update the hub again, but when I start the update it just closes at 11% like the first time, and the app stops working completely.

Im not sure how to fix this except maybe a factory reset of the hub, but there is no information on the internet regarding how to reset the hub because it is relatively new.

if you have any information on how to fix this issue or how to factory reset the hub please let me know.

Thank you!

Can you try another USB port? maybe switch between USB3/USB2. The update process is a bit tricky from time to time but it always worked out for me.

I tried your recommendation but it still doesn't work. I believe that it has updated already and is just some bug.

But thank you for the advice.

I went through the entire process and all the firmware and everything installed just fine but it didn't change anything.

I figured out what the problem was and fixed it. For some reason the app didn't automatically update, so I was trying to update the hub using an older version of the app. Im not sure why this didn't work or why it completely broke the hub, but after I updated the app the hub updated correctly and started working again.
