Corvus Posted January 12, 2010 Posted January 12, 2010 Black Falcon Fortress, along with one or two other small sets from that time. A gift from my cousin- he has a stash of old lego that he was kind enough to send a few for a birthday gift! Unfortunately I took it apart- in my youthful ignorance I didn't realize what a treasure it was. Quote
Sir Dillon Posted January 12, 2010 Posted January 12, 2010 Unfortunately I took it apart- in my youthful ignorance I didn't realize what a treasure it was. But that's the point! You can take it apart and put it back together. Quote
boba_jagoda Posted January 17, 2010 Posted January 17, 2010 My first Castle set was 6011 Black Knight's Treasure I spent hours and hours playing with it. He was always going home to his castle. Unfortunately, he didn't arrive until 6 months ago when I finally got the 6073 BFF Quote
RocketClone Posted January 17, 2010 Posted January 17, 2010 My first Castle set was 6011 Black Knight's Treasure I spent hours and hours playing with it. He was always going home to his castle. Unfortunately, he didn't arrive until 6 months ago when I finally got the 6073 BFF Funny thing is that that was my first castle set as well, That was back in the day when TLG made many little sets the were affordable.(and included horses)Nowadays you only get 2 impluses. Mac-K Posted January 18, 2010 Posted January 18, 2010 (edited) Well, here's the glorious set that got me hooked on Castle, 6042 Dungeon Hunters! This set kept me entertained forever! The ironic thing is, I never used the carriage as a prison, the Forestmen and Crusaders were always friends in my little world. But somehow, these three little guys went on journeys for hours. The knight with the heavy armor has always been perhaps my most favorite mini-fig, he always represented me in my medieval adventuring . Thank the gods, I still have this set. phantom6700 Posted January 18, 2010 Posted January 18, 2010 (edited) Here is the order in which I got my Castle sets, if memory serves. 6009 - Black Knight 1917 - King's Catapult 1712 - Crossbow Cart 6034 - Black Monarch's Ghost 6020 - Magic Shop 6059 - Knight's Stronghold 6056 - Dragon Wagon 6036 - Skeleton Surprise Most of them, with the exception of the Magic Shop and the Black Knight, are still largely in tact :) Edited January 18, 2010 by phantom6700 Quote
Tom Bricks Posted January 18, 2010 Posted January 18, 2010 I believe that my first castle set was this one but I'm not sure, I always loved these small sets, I should try to rebuild this one. Quote
Smidy101 Posted January 18, 2010 Posted January 18, 2010 My first set was the peasants cart followed by most of the other 1984 sets. Had to wait for a many years to finally get the Blacksmith, but the wait was worth it. Its amazing what you can do with a handful of knights and a bit of imagination. Quote
Brad-The-Brick Posted January 18, 2010 Posted January 18, 2010 I just started collecting castle in the holday season of 2 months ago. My collection is in date-I-got-them-order. brickmaster castle set. I got this at the henry ford lego castle adventure. Kings Chariot. I wanted another set to make my playing with castle sets more expanded. Draw-Bridge Defence. I got this for christmas. I castle colletion got it's first castle. Now I search the internet, hoping to find castle 07-09 sets cheap, they seem much more appealing to me, and I'm now a cstle addict. My cousin is planning to have a lego castle war with me when we get enough sets. Quote
Stash2Sixx Posted January 23, 2010 Posted January 23, 2010 WOW! not quite sure how I missed this topic. My first Castle set and first LEGO set ever was... That was the start, and it really hasn't slowed down. Some great memories looking through this thread. Thanks. Quote
jamtf Posted January 23, 2010 Posted January 23, 2010 My first ever castle set was 677 Knight's Procession. I got it as a present from my mom and even remember in which store she bought it! I played a lot with it and I still have the set complete with all original pieces that belong to it and with original instructions. Unfortunately, I probably demolished and threw away the box as a kid... Quote
DaleDVM Posted January 23, 2010 Posted January 23, 2010 Like Stash2sixx said. I don't know how I missed this topic back in 2008. My first set I got back in 1988. It is still one of my all time favorites. Luckily I didn't start collecting until I was 21, so I was careful and kept all parts, instructions, and boxes in great condition. I only wish the forestmen trees came in brown back then. They would mesh into current constructions a lot better if they did. In 2007 I aquired a 375 in pretty good condition. This is my oldest castle set obviously as it was the first in the "Castle" line. Quote
ANT Posted January 24, 2010 Posted January 24, 2010 Here is my first LEGO Castle set: The number of mini-figs for such a little set is amazing Quote
B-Lister Posted January 27, 2010 Posted January 27, 2010 My first castle set was the Forestmens Hideout, followed very closely behind, by the Black Monarch's ghost. after that it was the Wolfpack Renegades. I have a soft spot for all three sets, and am one part away from completing all three (I have the Renegades complete, I have the Black Monarch's ghost complete (the saddle is broken, so I do have a placeholder saddle at the moment), and I'm only missing one part of the Forestmens Hideout, but it should be here tomorrow. P.J. Khlotzec Posted February 14, 2010 Posted February 14, 2010 I had these three small sets when I was a kid: My parents couldn't afford bigger sets those days but these three were great enough for me. Quote
Fede78 Posted February 15, 2010 Posted February 15, 2010 My first Lego Castle was the 6080 King's Castle. After I bought the 6085 Black Monarch's castle. I still have this caslels in theis boxes with their instructions but I want to put them in my city...maybe like a museum or something else. Quote
Nicker Posted February 20, 2010 Posted February 20, 2010 This was my first set. I got it from my great grandmother as a birthday present when I was 5 years old I think. Quote
UsernameMDM Posted February 22, 2010 Posted February 22, 2010 Good old Black Falcon's Fortress, Quote
Nikola Bathory Posted February 22, 2010 Posted February 22, 2010 (edited) Not sure if it was the very first one, but for sure one of my first Castle sets was 6073 Knight's Castle - I still have it, a great set. Thanks to my parents for the cool toys of my childhood. I have fond memories. Nostalgia is a great thing. Ops, I just noticed that I've already posted in this topic. Forgive me, I really got nostalgic and carried away! Edited February 22, 2010 by Nikola Bathory Quote
Alex the Great Posted February 23, 2010 Posted February 23, 2010 Well my brother had lots of sets that I use to play with, the main one I remember is Royal Knight's Castle. My first castle set would be the Skeleton Tower in 2007. Quote
The Green Brick Giant Posted February 23, 2010 Posted February 23, 2010 I don't really remember but it was a drawbridge with a Wolf Man. Quote
Sir Dillon Posted February 23, 2010 Posted February 23, 2010 I don't really remember but it was a drawbridge with a Wolf Man. Sounds like Wolfpack Tower: Quote
CMP Posted February 23, 2010 Posted February 23, 2010 (edited) Not sure, quite a while ago. It was Knight's Kingdom I, I got 2 royal guards, the king, and a Bull knight with the brown chainmail. That's all I remember . Edited February 23, 2010 by CallMePie Quote
samurai-turtle Posted February 23, 2010 Posted February 23, 2010 I do not remember what exactly what my first one is but I think I got a couple for Christmas presents so here are the earliest ones. 6012-Siege Cart 6017-King's Oarsmen (Sadly I am missing the figures for it.) 6021-Jousting Knights (Another one missing figures with other accessories but hey I still got the horses for it.) 6041-Armor Shop (I had to replace pieces for it because they went missing.) 6061-Siege Tower (Another one I need to replace pieces for like a black panel, part of the hinge plate, and all the wheels.)
