lmcpicture Posted August 12, 2021 Posted August 12, 2021 With his newly earned wealth of his passing Grandfather, Killian decided to purchase himself a ship, a sloop to be exact. The Delphinus Orca, she is a fast and manouverable ship with a proper armement to fend of any rats he may encounter on his journeys. Thre crew is small, but they are all capable and experienced sailors who Killian already trusted with his life after only a mear few days. He had been able to recruit them through two old friends from the military who had since joined the small crew. Their leader, the quartermaster or should I say, quartermistress, Jacqueline Willet, is an expert sailer who would teach Killian how to ride the wind. Leaving his previous life in the mother land, he sails for Mooreton Bay, with hope of making it in the ‘’new world’’. And thank you @Justsomebrix for helping me with the storytelling and writing on my posts! Quote
Professor Thaum Posted August 12, 2021 Posted August 12, 2021 For a first one it is especially nice. Great hull technic, and really nice water job around this hull Quote
NOD Posted August 12, 2021 Posted August 12, 2021 The ship looks even better in the water and with the crew. The hull, masts, sails and cannons are well built. Quote
CaptainPolluxofOrion Posted August 12, 2021 Posted August 12, 2021 Wow...this looks really nice! Quote
Justsomebrix Posted August 12, 2021 Posted August 12, 2021 Super impressive ship, keep up the good work! Quote
CapOnBOBS Posted August 13, 2021 Posted August 13, 2021 Great job getting the angles and waves to create the effect of rolling in the waves. I can feel the ship bobbing in this post. Really well done! Quote
blackdeathgr Posted August 13, 2021 Posted August 13, 2021 (edited) An excellently built ship for its size and great presentation too (both writing and rendering pose)!!! Safe journeys and stay away from our mighty Oleander fleet! Edited August 13, 2021 by blackdeathgr Quote

Wellesley Posted August 13, 2021 Posted August 13, 2021 Congratulations on such a fine start in ship building. I'm really looking forward to what else you can pull off! Great hull technique that I haven't seen so far. Quote
lmcpicture Posted August 14, 2021 Author Posted August 14, 2021 (edited) @Wellesley and @Brickwolf. Thanks for the compliments ;) Edited August 14, 2021 by lmcpicture Quote
Garmadon Posted September 1, 2021 Posted September 1, 2021 Did I never comment on this? Beautiful work, the angles are very nicely handled and the yellow curving up the bow is great! But the presentation in the water is really superb - the waves and foam add so much to an even otherwise great vessel. Excellent job! Quote
