zumaidi Posted July 6, 2021 Posted July 6, 2021 I am working on the 2nd edition of the Quadricycle. This time to make it looks like the real one especially on the size ratio. The 1st one is using parts from 42118. Already on RB - https://rebrickable.com/mocs/MOC-75479/zumaidi/henry-fords-quadricycle/#details Appreciate for any comment. Thanks. Quote
zumaidi Posted July 7, 2021 Author Posted July 7, 2021 (edited) Some updates: - the size ratio is almost the same as actual one - tiller mechanism with fully functional left/right turn - fake 2 cylinder engine Video of - Fake cylinder engine I don't have bike chain so I use gear instead. Yet to be done - clutch mechanism, ring bell and head lamp. And to place the tiller further in front.... And later to add chain drive mechanism (have to buy a new set with that parts first). Appreciate for any comment. Thanks. Edited July 7, 2021 by zumaidi Add photo Quote
2GodBDGlory Posted July 7, 2021 Posted July 7, 2021 That's an interesting vehicle you're modeling! I appreciate the focus on functionality, especially with the clutch you have planned. Quote
Jurss Posted July 7, 2021 Posted July 7, 2021 Interesting model. I was thinking to sugest to get that chain from bricklink.com, but there is just one seller in Malaysia, who have those chain links, and there are only 16 available. So, some Ducati then maybe will be better buy. Quote

zumaidi Posted July 7, 2021 Author Posted July 7, 2021 Managed to move the tiller a little bit to the front, almost like the actual Quadricycle. Quote
zumaidi Posted July 8, 2021 Author Posted July 8, 2021 This is to update that I have added the clutch mechanism. Now it is possible to change between engine/wheel free play and both can move. See the video. Appreciate for any comment. Thanks for your support. https://youtu.be/L9qZX2fBqVg Quote

Anyway it has like 20+ of those links, maybe even 30, if I remember correctly. Not sure why but I ended up buying 5 or 6 of them just for those links. Anyway if you can find it, seems like another way of getting them relatively inexpensive. Quote

In addition, the cost of the individual chain link plus the shipping is quite high. So, I think it is more economical to buy a complete set. The most important thing is I can enjoy building the Ducati as it will be my 1st LEGO bike. :-) Quote
zumaidi Posted July 10, 2021 Author Posted July 10, 2021 This MOC is completed. It is on RB - https://rebrickable.com/mocs/MOC-81660/zumaidi/henry-fords-quadricycle-2nd-edition/#details Thank you for your support. Quote
